both me & a friend tryed restering useing AOL e-mail but it never sent the the thing to compleat it i tryed 2 times before i used my hotmail e-mail to regster it seems to only do it with AOL

AOL email addresses aren't blocked from registering with this forum, so I'm pretty sure it isn't a problem with the forum... Have you checked your junkmail box? I hear some providers treat mail from all phpBB boards as junk mail, so that might be it. Let me know :)

Weird. I'm looking into this... apparently some other phpBB users have had the same problem, but I haven't seen any solutions yet. Your friend just emailed me though, so I've activated his account manually :)

In reading more about the problems with people using AOL not getting their confirmation emails, it looks like AOL blocks all email coming from phpBB entirely. (Some speculate this is a tactic AOL is using to try and get people to pay money for that "guaranteed delivery" of email controversy they started recently.) So anyone using an AOL address might want to change it, if you'd like to receive topic updates from the board or in case you ever need your password reset...
