Hello to all. I need some help or opinions. We have upward basketball at our chruch and we the clowns are there to entertain. This year we have been ask again to come back but, in differentcostume. The want us dress as a basketball player and a cheerleader. Well, we have just that. I need to clown mine up more. I'm the cheerleader. The costume is red with zebra print on it, red converse,black tights and i was thinking about the scruches that we use to wear in the 80's on my legs. What do you think and do you have any suggestions? Also, for the ball uniform. Thank you in advance.

I think I'd have to see a picture of your cheerleader costume - but it sounds fun. As for the basketball uniform, maybe a really big pair of basketball shorts held up with suspenders over a BB tank? of course have a shirt under the tank and high high knee socks or tights.

The basketball tank could be put on backwards... or maybe the shorts (a classmate of mine actually did that accidentally in one of our high school games... we still kid him at reunions!) You could even work it as part of your gag - maybe have him/her turn them around 'hidden' by a towel - showing his funny clown undies, of course.
You could wear knee or elbow pads, if you're klutzy... or a big ankle wrap or bandaid or bandage. Sounds like fun -- would love to see your final costumes!
