Clown Chat enhancement

As some of you saw last night, I've added a whiteboard to the chat room so you can share simple drawings and diagrams with the others.  You may have to maximize your window in order to see all the controls; I plan to tinker with the chat layout a little in the next few weeks and hopefully eliminate that little problem.  Please let me know if you have any ideas for the chat room or the chats themselves!

I'd also like to offer the use of the chat room on this site to clown alleys or groups that would like to chat online but don't have their own chat room; just contact me with the name of your group and the time(s) you plan on chatting, and I'll set up a room for you.

First of all, I want all members of Clown Forum to drop what you're doing and give all the entrants in our Clown Egg contest a big round of applause!  All the eggs turned out incredibly well and it was very hard for me to make a decision.  But after much thought I have declared Sassafras the winner!  I think you'll agree that her egg is an amazing likeness and shows a lot of artistic skill.  A gift certificate to Bubba's is on its way to her by carrier pigeon now.

If there were more money in Bozonia's budget I would have awarded at least two more gift certificates.  But as SaphireSue suggested, I think we'll make this a yearly event, and maybe next year...

In the meantime, I'd like to wish you all a happy Easter.  Don't eat too many innocent chocolate bunnies!

Clown Egg Contest!

As this joyous spring season begins, the good citizens of Bozonia celebrate the renewal of life.  The trees and squirting flowers bloom, the baby chicks, ducks, and clowns hatch from their eggs...

What?  You mean clowns aren't hatched from eggs?  What's the deal with the rows and rows of eggs that look like clowns then, hmm?

Er... ahem.  Apparently I have been misinformed. *glares at her staff, who shrug and look innocent*

Anyway, for years now Clowns International has kept a collection of eggs painted with clown faces as a registry of unique face designs, and now in honor of the Easter holiday I'd like to announce another clown contest featuring clown eggs!  To enter, decorate an egg with a clown face; it can be your clown face or something completely new.  Go nuts; you may use props as well.  Take a picture of your creation and upload the photo to the Clown Gallery (in the Clown Eggs category) by midnight on Friday, April 14.  The winner will be notified on Saturday, and the announcement of the winning entry made on Sunday April 16.

If you don't have access to a digital camera, you can also enter by:

• sending me a regular photo through "snail mail" (PM me for the address)
• drawing your clown face on the egg shape provided below, printing it out and mailing it to me (Please PM me if you need a different size to print out.)

• using a paint program to draw your clown face on the egg shape provided below and uploading it to the Clown Gallery

This contest is open to all members of Clown Forum and their children. You may enter as often as you like.

Winner will receive a $20 gift certificate to Bubba's Clown Supplies!
