Default My first larger balloon animals.

I have been clowning, inc. simple balloon animals, at parties and small events for about a year, but never tried to do something more complicated ( for me ).So I figured out that ,maybe, I could try to advance my skills a bit,as I 've already known the very basic techniques of twisting, and practice something more fascinating.

So I saw some free videos on the net ( I have only one dvd for balloons ) and today it's the first time to make a tweety,a penguin and a more complicated aeroplane.

It took me quite a long time and I think that I can't make many of them to an hour or an hour & a half party.

Nevertheless I 'll continue practising them.

Here they are:

Thank you.

- Me and my first attempt to make a tweety ( I added wings to its three bubble bird body ) bird.I 'll start practising the heart too, so it won't get tired.

- First time I make a penguin too.Taken from Joe's Montella DVD.So and so...

My teddy bear ( not so good,I 'll eliminate the neck ) and a two balloon aeroplane ( first time I make this plane ).

My one balloon motorbike and a six petal flower.
I appreciate all the feedback given from the forum experts, so I am looking forward to hearing from you for my new creations.

Thank you very much my friends.

Looks really good! I haven't been twisting very long. I'm still a little slow at the bigger stuff. On website I found that has some great videos on it is Videos on ExpertVillage.com | How to videos, free video clips & more - just search for "balloon twisting instructions" on that website & you get tons of great helpful videos!!

Keep Twisting!

It looks like you are doing a great job KG. I really like that shade of green. Are you using Qualatex or is there another brand that you are using. I have tried Royaltex from (I think) Spain and they seemed to twist quite well also.

Thank you very much for your replies.

The balloons I use are GLOBOS and they are Mexican.
They are a little bit cheaper than qualatex but not so bright as them.

What other large sculptures do you do and are requested from kids?

Great job taking your skills to a new level. When I'm learning a new balloon, I'll incorporate it into the show as the last balloon for the child who waited the longest. This way you don't have all the kids asking for the more involved balloons until you are fast enough at making it. You'll get faster plus it makes the end of your gig more memorable.

And my two new balloons.

I tried to do the heart for the first time, but as you can see, can't make the shape very well.Maybe different manipulation in the balloon is needed.

A very very very very good link that has instructions for EVERYTHING and I think has already been mentioned is http://balloon.nakayosi.jp/

It is in Japanese and you have to use an online translator like Babelfish or...

You are doing really well KG. I don't like doing the heart myself because I can never get it to look right. In fact there are times when I wish it looked as good as yours does.
