Instructions for Qualatex®
"Mini Skeleton"
By Cam Woody, CBA
Labor: About 10 Minutes
Materials:
5" (13cm) “Skull Face” White Latex Balloon
5 260Q White Latex Balloons
Qualatex Hand Air Inflator

Instructions:
1. To make the Skeleton’s “body,” inflate a White 260Q, leaving 5" uninflated, soften by letting a little air out, and tie. Starting at the knot end, twist the following:
Two 1" (2.5cm) pinch twists
1" bubble (position between the two pinch twists)
Two 3" (8cm) loop twists
2" (5cm) bubble (position between the loops)
Two 3" loop twists
2" bubble (position between the loops)
Cut to deflate the unused portion and tie a knot at the end of the bubble.
NOTE: Do not cut off the unused portion.

2. To make the Skeleton’s “hip bones,” inflate a White 260Q to 18" (46cm). Tie into a circle, then remove the excess. Find the point on the circle opposite the knot, and then twist the two points together to make a figure 8. Deflate and tie the remaining balloon. Cut off any excess.

3. Wrap the deflated portion from the first step into the center of the hips to attach them to the body. Cut off any excess.

4. To make the Skeleton’s “leg,” inflate a White 260Q, leaving 5" uninflated, and tie. Twist the following:
3" loop twist
1" pinch twist
8" (20cm) bubble
Deflate the remaining balloon and tie a knot at the end of the bubble. Cut off any excess. Repeat for the second leg.

5. Insert a leg into each hole in the hip. NOTE: The friction will hold the legs in place.

6. To make the Skeleton’s “arms,” inflate a White 260Q, leaving 4" (10cm) uninflated, and tie.
Twist the following:
1" pinch twist
5" bubble
1" pinch twist
10" (25cm) bubble
1" pinch twist
5" bubble
1" pinch twist
Deflate and tie the remaining balloon. Cut off any excess.

7. Make a twist in the center of the 10" bubble, then wrap the twist into the two pinch twists on the Skeleton’s “neck.”

8. Fully inflate the head, tie, and secure by wrapping the knot into the Skeleton’s “neck."USA ©2007 PBC
