Looking for balloon instructions...
OK. I've seen pictures & tried to figure this out, but I'm stumped. I want to make a flower basket or vase. Any of you expert twisters have some instructions you'd be willing to share??

Last December, right before Christmas VSGL1 (Sorry, I just looked at it and don't remember the correct spelling) started a thread called "balloon top hat." In that thread Jolly Well refered to Professor Wonder's site and an Uncle Sam top hat that they feature. That hat is a good skeleton for hats or vases or baskets. You simply fill in the blank spaces and by adjusting the length of the bubbles you can adjust the shape of the sculpture.

My first attempt at the vase
Flower Vase 1st.jpg
My vase is a little lopsided, but the flowers are cute!

My favorite flower vase is made with 4 balloons of one color which will make the basket and the stems for the flowers. Then you need the tops...4 more balloons in what ever color you want.
It starts like a weave.
balloon 1 (b-1) half inch bubble, then 4 in. bubble.
b-2 half inch bubble, attatch at end of b-1's 4 inch. then a 4 inch bubble
b-3 same as above, attaching to b-2
b-4 same as above, attaching to b-3, then attatch to b-1's half inch bubble
You now have a circle.
b-1 Make a half in. bubble and a 3 in. bubble which then will attatch to b-2 after it's half inch bubble. Repeat around with last one pulling thru to complet the circle.
next round is the same but I make the long bubble a little smaller still.
next (and last) round is the same also but I go back to the 4 in. because this will be the base and it will stand up better.
Now pull all the long left overs thru the middle and out the top. Attatch flower tops in standard manner.
It is fairly fast and not to hard. I hope I discribed it well enough. If not, let me know and I will try again.

Coco, thanks for sharing your vase. I'm definitely gonna try this tonight. You could probably snap & tie the ends & use a different color for the stems. Have you tried that? Just curious how that would work.
Ooo... I'm excited now! This will give me something neat to take to my cousins for our family's Easter dinner!

Of course you could if you wanted different colors. I don't normally have a lot of time to do extras. I make big things even if I have a lot of people so I like the time saving vase into stem thing. The stem doesn't show very much anyways.
good luck with it. After you do one or two of them they are pretty fast. Very do-able in a restarant.

More flower creations...
Thought y'all might like to see these. The first one was made using Coco's instructions & pulling the remainder through for the stems. The white basket was made using the same technique but with 5 balloons instead of 4 for the basket & popping & tying the remainder, then adding the balloon flowers.
