Thanks Fitz! I'm starting to get the hang of it. Twinkles is picking up pretty well too. Actually we have some exciting news to share. Our clowns have been invited to a Spring Carnival at a local elementary school in a couple of weeks! I'm going to post a thread about it later today, so check it out for details!

More Flower Vases / Baskets
OK - so my mom LOVES these things! She had me make one for her to take to my aunt that broke her hip.
I also made one for a lady from my church that was in the hospital, but forgot to take a picture of it & it was really cute! Actually it looked more like a small flower pot because it only had 2 rows - 2 of my balloons popped as I was twisting the 3rd row so I just cut it off, salvaged scraps & made the stems.

Four petaled flowers are a fairly easy creation (at least for me).
I make a loop of an almost fully inflated balloon (burped to soften it).
Find the center opposite the knot tying the ends together and twist making two even bubbles.
Fold these in half and twist the center making two hoops fold these together and push the twisted ends together with the ends from the original two bubbles.
This should give you the four petals. make a sword with a bubble at the top.
Push the twist between the bubbles of the stem into the center of the petals from any side and you have the flowers.

Yup, that's the basic 4 petal flower. I have used that same concept w/ less air to make one with the little dealy bopper sticking out the top - kina like the yellow one in my last set of pics. I leave probably about 4 inches uninflated, give it a good burp to soften & tie it. Start at the nipple end (not the know like normal), twist off a small bubble & work it to the end of the balloon. Take the remaining inflated part, make the circle (be sure the balloon isn't too tight & you have room to work the twists) then twist like Luki said above.

For the "rose" (the red one you can't see very well in my last set of pics) I inflate about 3/4 of the way bc you end up cutting off the end of this one. Start w/ the knot end & make a small (about 3 inch) 3 bubble roll or "bird body" (You do this by twisting 2 bubbles, lock twisting them together, make a 3rd bubble the same size & roll it through the other 2). Then just make 3 soft loops at the base of the 3 bubble roll & sort of push them up around each bubble in the roll. Make a small pinch twist, pop & tie the rest. Now, the stem of this can be done like the normal stem, but I like to add a little extra to my rose. I make 3 small loops (smaller than the ones on the actualy flower) at the knot end of my stem balloon. This becomes the leaves at the base of the rose. You can make these loops soft enough to sort of pinch & shape them almost to a point & it looks really neat. From there you can make the normal leaves or just leave it straight. Either usually looks good. I'll have to make one & post some pics soon. It will probably be sometime next week, but I'll get it up.

Here's a little quick and easy basket of flowers I make in restaurants. You need four or five 260s and one 321 "Bee body". Inflate one 260, leaving about a 1in. tail. Make a very small bubble (about 1/2 in.) and two bubbles about 8in. each. Bend the second 8 in. bubble back beside the first, then connect the two by twisting the small bubble between the 2nd 8 in.bubble and the rest of the balloon. Make another 1/2 in. balloon at the very end of the balloon and tie it between the two 8 in. bubbles opposite the first small bubble. Take the remaining 260s, inflate each about 1-11/2 in. and using a tulip/apple twist, make one bubble on each balloon. Inflate the 321 not quite to the black tip, then wrap the knot of the 321 around all the flower stems about half way. Push the knot into the 321 with one finger till you can grasp it with the other hand and twist it several times. Now push the tail of the 321 into the body. Finally, place the 321 construction between the two 8 in. sections of the first 260. Ta Da!
Good luck.

Sounds quick and easy, (and a good way to get rid of those extra, pesky bee bodies I always have.) Thanks
