I meant to note that the character reminds me a bit of Barry Lubin's "Grandma". But I kind of like your concept better, it seems more refined. His is a good example of a flat out auguste, though.

Now that I have met Mrs Stiches in person I must say she is a delightful and funny lady
And I believe tht she will go a long way in clowning and her chosen work And I think she and Sydney would hit it off
