Default Mrs. Stitches' Debut

Mrs. Stitches made her debut at a post-holiday party for work!

She arrived in her choir robe, tamborine in hand, looking for choir practice (Her choir director asked her to sing tenor last evening - ten-or twelve miles away! and said she should go there).

It was a wonderful experience! People were laughing a lot and I think I only flubbed my delivery once. This character is really going to give me a lot of practice with improv. I was only stumped once - Someone asked me my favorite hymn and I couldn't think of anything funny to say. Later, it came to me: "My favorite hymn(him)? Dustin Hoffman!" I'd like to find some comical names of hymns in case someone ever asks my favorite song, even if they are only funny because I get the words mixed up, like "We three kings in a manger" or mispronounce the title, etc. I was able to keep the Brooklyn accent pretty well too.

Now that I have a good handle on Mrs. Stitches' character, I can work on her mission - spreading the Good News!

Oh I LOVE it!

Just a little comment about the makeup, though. While it works, it seems that the "lite auguste" eyes might be better matched by a lesser mouth, perhaps absent the muzzle.

You consider the eyes "lite auguste"? I don't.

Eyedrop suggested lite auguste for this humanistic character but I really want her to be Auguste. I didn't do too much on the eyes because I figured the glasses covered it anyway.

I'm open to suggestions for my eye makeup. I'd rather do more with my eyes than change the mouth.

Thanks everyone!

Jamz, she'll be at clownstock, maybe performing as a teacher.

XDD Just kidding, Ma. Congrats, and no, I will not rub your feet. Even for a quarter.

Personally, I just find something...off about the coustume itself (the chior robe). I was just thinking...maybe spoof it up a bit? I like the concept, it's just...It needs to be Ms. Stiches-ized.

The idea of a "humanistic character" is what I'm getting from the look, particularly with the smaller eye covering (which I think works) that I would consider to be more of a "lite" look. (Though, ultimately, these distinctions are only terms which don't mean much in the long run, as character and projection of that is what really matters... whatever the 'face type' may be).

I wouldn't necssarily say that anything has to be changed, but it does seem a bit unbalanced to me with the smaller eye area and larger mouth.
