Default Fellowship of Christian Clowns

I found this on the COAI e-alley, I hope its ok to repost it here.

Fellowship of Christian Clowns

As some of you have heard on the various E-groups already there has
been discussion about the formation of a Christian Clown
association.

We would like to start off by saying thank you to Chris Burton for
sending out the initial email. We felt it was important for the
first email to be sent out by an impartial party in order to get
unbiased responses as to whether this was something you wanted.
According to the overwhelming responses in favor of this group, we
are moving forward.

The group of Christian clowns who shared in the vision of forming
this association has come together to form the Vision Team; they are
as follows: Dana and Jane Abendschein, Randy Christensen, Gary and
Ann Gramlich, Tony and Nikki Jones and John and Phyllis Sheffield.

We would now like to share the vision of this association. It will
be a non-denominational, non-political, non-biased Christian clown
fellowship; a fellowship of Christian clowns, hence the name
FELLOWSHIP OF CHRISTIAN CLOWNS. We thank everyone who offered ideas
for names, they were greatly appreciated. The group will be
dedicated to education, networking missions and fellowship.

As with every association there has to be a mouthpiece to get
information to the member, this is done through either the
association? s newsletter or magazine. Since there is already a
Christian clown magazine on the market and not wanting to duplicate
something already in place; the publisher of the Cross and the Clown
magazine have offered to give any and all rights to the Cross and
the Clown allowing it to become the official magazine of FCC. (If
you are a current subscriber to the Cross and the Clown, do not
worry this will not affect your current subscription there will be
detailed information in the next issue; make sure you read it.)

Furthermore, the Vision Team has discussed dividing the U.S. into
ten regions to better serve the membership. Each region will have
an appointed facilitator to serve as a liaison between the members
and the Operations Committee to communicate prayer needs, desires to
do mission trips and other needs. At this time all areas outside
the U.S. will fall under one international facilitator until the
time when international membership deems it necessary to split those
areas.

Like any association there will be some administrative costs and we
will strive to keep them as minimal as possible, therefore one
magazine will be sent to families (the first family member will have
the magazine sent to them, all other members can sign up at a
greatly reduced cost.) The yearly dues will be as follows:

$35.00 (U.S. Currency) Individual
Membership
$10.00 (U.S. Currency) Additional Family Member (living in
your house)

Anyone signing up before July 1, 2008 will be charter members. To
sign up today you can send in the $35 to P.O. Box 8, Madison GA
30650. Or if you already receive the magazine you can send in $10 to
become a charter member which will carry you to the end of your
subscription of the magazine.

I have subscribed to the Cross and the Clown for about three years now. At first glace it may look like a "simple" magazine but I have found a fair amount of very useful, applicable information. I shall join. Thank you Baloo.

I've been getting the mag, since 2003, and I love it. I wonder how operating it will change? The exchange of idea and suggestion on skits is great.
I also wonder if you now have to goin this group to keep getting the mag?

Sue,
I don't believe that the mag and group will be separate. I think that when you order the magazine after 2008, you will automatically be in the Christian Clown group. I will check with Junior, though.
Take care.
Good to see you too!

Help.....me Jesus, To die to me....so people can see you.......Jesus
Can you help me.....I have been a clown for over 26 years. I started out as a Gospel Clown. I have emailed Clown articles....to different Clown Magazines put have not been printed. I know that it 's not about me, it's about Jesus, but some times I know God has put something on my heart to write about and share. I am a A/G Pastor. My heart is dying to self and then living for the SALVATION of others. I think getting some new articles from other clowns is the best way to go. I see in most clown magazines it's the same people in print each magazine ......why is that? Christian clicks, I hope not. If I am going to minister as a Gospel Clown, people need to Know that I am available......Clowning is a Platform to Grab Peoples attention........so I can share the Gospel, doing Entree's, Gospel Magic and even Carpeting or [Carpet Clowning].120 unsaved people die every minute......People are dying to go to Hell! Who are you dying to SAVE? Love you kind Friends in Christ.....NormaL T. Joey "Nothing matters in the end if you are not SAVED"...... Do you know anything about BUSKING? People please respond........

Why don't you post some of your articles here. Maybe all they need is a little tweeking before they get printed. Or maybe the magazines have them slated for an upcoming edition and you just don't know it. Many times the editors are working on three or four issues at the same time. Take "Clowning Around" for example, each issue has a different theme. It is possible that your articles are already locked up for print in an issue but other authors have not sent in their articles yet.

Well I just got my June issue and there is nothing in it about this organization [or I missed it and that's possible] I haven't finished reading it all, but I couldn't find anything in it about it changing or becoming part of this group.

I've got just a little tiny question: is it the intention of the fellowship of christian clowns to preach the words of jezus or god or so?
What are there goals?

Can I join the FCC and pay the anual fee by credit card?

I live on south east asia. Is the $35.00 (U.S. Currency) Individual
Membership include the Cross and the Clown magazine's subscription for a year and shipment to my place?
