Default Religion in nursing homes?

Sorry to keep buggin' y'all. When you visit nursing homes, are you able to bring any religion into your clowning (hymns, etc)? Or are you just supposed to do secular stuff?

Yes Pinky you can...Or should I say I do it all of the time!
I see no reason why you cannot...
Last month I sang a hymn with a little lady of 92 years...
I always take stickers that say "Jesus Loves You"!
Most of the tim the staff want stickers fot their little ones @ home...Go for it girl!

Allow me to add my two cents. The United States (which I'll assume is where you are) is largely Christian in religion and it's easy to guess that most of the people in the nursing home would be of that faith, especially since they lived in a time when religion was key. Depending on which state you're in, it can vary. You might find a large Jewish population in some states or whatever religion in whatever state, who knows.
Still, if the nursing home wanted you to remain secular, I think they would have told you.
Now, the religious content you are bringing is harmless. They're fun little songs that are easy to remember and sing. It's not as though you're going in with a gun and forcing people to do anything. You're going there to be a clown and bring joy, not to be a dictator.

Good comment Calavera. At the Spring Fling I mentioned something to Scruffy about your post where you mentioned mortuary sciences. Being rather divided in mind with all that was going on this weekend I couldn't remember your name and called you Cadaver. It is a good thing Scruffy had not taken a drink while I was talking or we would have had a big mess to clean up.

That's okay, Fitzwilly. Cadaver is perfectly in sync with my line of study.
Actually, you weren't that far off because Calavera is Spanish for skull.
