Welcome tasha!
You've come to the right place to get started. Take time and read through back posts here in the forums, And If you can, stop by and join us for chat some thursday evening we start at nine And usually her Royal Highness, The Princess of Bozonia [Looks around to see where the trumpets are coming from ] Has a topic up for discussion.
I do reccommend that you find a copy of the book, Creative Clowning. It's a great started book that covers all the basics, makeup, costume, history, character developments, twisting balloons, even juggling and unicycling! You can borrow it from most libraries. If you want to buy it, Amazon has is. I think I got my copy on Ebay for about six dollars.
Welcome again.
Scruffy

*looks sheepish* Uh hi Tasha, it looks like I owe you an apology... I was fixing a problem with the database just now, clicked the wrong box, and accidentally deleted your account. Please sign up again and I'll be more careful!

Howdee, Howdee, come on in an sat a spell.

As Scruffy said take time to read the post [I know there are a lot], but you'll find a lot of info there. and then if you have specific questions ask and every one will try to give you an answer.

Jamz is the man to talk to. I don't know if I can explain it, but it's were you twist a bubble end to end, say you have a two in bubble then make a 1 in then another 2 in. twist the 1 in so that each end of it twist together. Check out www.balloonhg.com and www.multihobbies.com/balloons/ they might help and have some pictures.

The best way to show you an ear twist is this
Make three 1 in bubbles lay the first and third bubble together so the middle one is on top now pull up on the middle bubble and twist
this now should look like an teddy bear ear hope this helps
I will try to post a picture
