Do you believe in bad Luck?
Since this is open chat, I have to tell you guys my bad Luck, Fri. My 17 yr. old daughter was turning left and a person rear ended her, she fine a little sore , but close to totalling it. With it being a holiday weekend we had to wait to tue. to get a rental as she commutes to college. Today my husband was dring the rental stop to turn left, a second car stopped behind him, then a third car crashed in to the second causing it to crash into his. The third car was an off duty cop. I'm wondering if I can get a rental for the rental? Sereiously My husband will have to straighten it out tomorrow.

Do you believe in luck?
No, not really. Everything good and bad has a purpose. Admittedly. It's hard to see what that could be. Romans 8:28 Still applies. Were praying for you, Sapphire.

I really don't believe in Luck, good or bad, but this week had been especially stressful, some times it does help to get things off your chest. Thanks for listening [reading]

Bad Times and Good Times
When something bad happens to me, sometimes it's hard to deal with....
Sometimes I forget what I tell myself because of what's going on, or if I'm in a hurry I'll deal with it later, but usually what I try to do is...
1) Count to ten before I do ANYTHING. I used to have a horrible temper when I was a teenager and younger adult. It's still bad sometimes, but I've found that when I make the time to stop and do it (which is 60% of the time and still improving... ) it helps tremendously.
2) Realize what's happened, and what needs to happen next. This usully happens during the count to ten. Sometimes if the situation is more involved, then I count to twenty, or thirty...
3) MOVE ON. This part is really important. I've realized this most of all in the last few years. What's happened has happened, whether it's for a reason or not. Sometimes that matters, sometimes it doesn't. Time has a funny way of fixing most things...
Just my quarter's worth of thoughts....

Things are looking up.
I had a great Uncle John who used to hand make fiddles. He died when I was around 6-7, he still had an out house. Any way no one in our large family had one. One of my current patients knew my uncle, and his son had one of the fiddles, He brought it to me. Now it's not anything to look at but knowing where it came from and how it was made makes it look beautiful. Some times you find wonders in the least expected places.

Sapphire: Was it a gift or did he bring it to show you? I would love to see photos of it sometime. I also do violin work . It would be nice if it was a gift. My wifes uncle was a gunsmith who made muzzle loading rifles. Sadly, I don't think the family has any of his pieces. I willed my first to pieces to my kids, never to be sold. I hope future generations will enjooy seeing and hopefully playing the guitars that grandpa built.

Actually I bought it from him. It was his first fiddle and he learned to play by ear and played with a band for years, He didn't charge me but $15 for it. Like I said not in great, roughly made, but still has strings and all. I've got a digatal camera, I know how to get pictures on my pc and things but haven't learned how to do on internet yet. I have my grand mother's 1910 pump organ [she was blind and played by ear}. My Uncles 1900 player piano [minus the player], the organ plays better than the piano. My husband want me to get rid of it, but I'd lke to restore it one day. Unforunately, I didn't get the play by ear gene. But I did learn a few off that old organ.

Sapphire Sue! What a bummer! Has it all been straightened out? It is hard
to remember that God is always in control, even when the rest of us aren't! I pray all is well now.
