Ironically, I have the same brand of pump that gave stitches fits and I have been very happy with mine. Mac pump has several new styles, including a spring loaded one that I really like. What I want is a Magiloon electric. I built my own electric pump a couple years ago. It works great, it's just too noisy for most places. Last year when I tore my rotor cuff, it was a real lifesaver.

Hi Jodo.
I had a nice long chat with Mr Filbert , himself , not long ago while awaitng my filbert pump. He assured me that the reason for the long wait was that they had a few bugs in the original mold and style of the filberts. His people were enhancing and correcting the bugs before shipping anymore out, I have my new pump now and am getting rid of the older one I had,(not a filbert) as the older one is not as easy to move about and more like a missile in style.
Apparently they were able to correct whatever was faulty on the originals and make the filbert even better. It was great realating to another clown as well, who has endeavored to create a useful tool for us. Anyway, the filberts are a nice product and still reasonably priced, I stick by my decision to own one.
Good topic Rollie Pollie, and I'm hoping yours arrives very shortly, like anyday now...

Hey Silly...piggybacking on our face painting conversation...is it okay to use a pump for balloons while clowning...or would we not be considered a balloon twister...?
Seriously...I've always enjoyed the purple qualatex pumps...but I can't find them anymore...All I'm finding are the slightly shorter 2way hand pumps...its harder to get the balloon on the tip to me...I like the purple ones cause they're easier to transport...fit in my pocket, lightweight...etc...etc...etc..

T-Myers is still handling the purple pumps as well as LaRocks I believe, an sarcasm is just rewarded with a smile. The intent on the face paint is that you do the art not use a stencil, and the use of a pump is quite another subject, yunless you have them pretwisted by someone else before attending the party or event. Just because I can't blow the balloons physically anymore doesn't mean I don't still create my own balloon items...
Now, in that same note,, if and when I become unable to do my own work , then I will retire or let someone of quality do the work in their own name... But hopefully I'll be at least 95-100 before that happens LOL.... of course I may not be quite as fast then, lol...

Getting a groin rapture one day isn't very proffesional neither.
When people are complaning that I'm cheating by using a pump I mostly tell them that my doctor is very pleased that I cheat. But hey go ahead you may blow up all the 100 balloons, that still need doing, by mouth if you want to. This mostly shuts them up.
Telling them you have eaten garlic last night and you don't garanty that the balloon won't pop and that if that happenes they shouldn't nock on your door when they pass out can also do the trick.

I usually respond to the cheating claim by handing them an un inflated balloon. Even if they manage to blow it up, you have the satisfaction of knowing they are hiding the fact that their lungs are killing them. [J/K]
In the past I've also raised my hand and said "Who want's Clown Spit?"
