There are directions on Ebay to build your own pump. A while back I found directions for making your own somewhere online. A buddy of mine made one and even though he did a good job it weighed a ton. I would recommend your buying the two or three pound pump that Bubba sells on his site. Called the Filbert. A friend of mine bought one and within a week of him bringing it to a meeting and everyone seeing it three or four more people had placed their own orders for one. I sound like a salesman only because everyone I know who has one loves it. I personally do not use a floor pump. I don;t usually stand still long enough, and when I do I either mouth inflate or use my trusty purple pocket pump.

Do you have any more information? The five guys I know use theirs regularly and have not had any problems. What kind of problems have you heard of? One problem that I have noticed with all stand up pumps is that if the ground is uneven they tend to fall over.

I tried making my own pump. Don’t waste your time and money. I bought a floor pump and love it. It’s bright and colorful and even has a tip cup holder. Kids love watching it fill the balloons. I can do more balloons than someone using a hand pump. Even though some of them can be a little heavy they are worth the money.

Ebay had plans to make one that looks like the macpump. I had a macpump and it was too hard to work for me (I pulled both triceps at once - ouch!). Spent $95 on it (with shipping) then $15 to send it back for repairs then another $15 when I sold it back to the maker for $35 plus $15 shipping. So I was still out $75. I wonder what I would have gotten if I had sued for my injuries! (No, I'm not lawsuit happy)

Almost bought a filbert pump but they were temporarily out of production because the bases were cracking (cute pump though). Now I have a Pump 260. I love it!

Save yourself some trouble! Try out a friends pump. If you like it, buy the same thing!

scruffy and myslef are working on making a pump for Miss-Fitt thatis a 6" PVC pipe on the base and the main pipe is only 2" to a pipe cap and a fitting for the nozle.

We are trying to get the size down for Miss-Fitt is only 5' and the bigger pump is a little hard for her to use.

We will keep you updated on the outcome and what we come up with.

Make a little step stool for her to stand on. She can make big production about going up and down two little steps. You could even paint big shoe prints on the top step so she knows where to place her feet. (Or you could paint "This is not a step" and really confuse her!
