Well-I'm still here
I haven'tbeen on the computer for awhile and when I got on tonight I saw the nice letter form the princess of Bozonia, when looking further I saw the report from Ashes which was right-on accurate. As said, I had a serious prostate infection which was corrected and I was in the hospital for nearly 3 weeks, and in a rehab for the same amount of time.
Unfortunatly, I have weak knees and legs (diabetic related) and have to use a walker for short distances and a wheelchair for long distances (casinos, store, etc). I can stand and I can walk -but- if I don't watch out--I can fall down too.
At present,I'm not clowning, due to being in the wheelchair ( I use my legs and arms for moving the chair) but I would like to find a way to (I can't do balloons or face painting) Any comments and suggestions are appreciated.

Wilmoe! Glad to hear from you. My suggestion is to see if you qualify for a rascal type scooter or power chair. Then convert it to a clown car.

Welcome back. The scooter would be a great answer. Gotta keep exercising some though or you'll lose what little strength you still have.
Walkers are the best to strengthen your upper torso as well as your legs. Add some weight to the walker like water balloons? or something like like a puppet or a doggy with some weight added . A few pounds will help with stability also. Attach a couple of horns and some fake headlights to let everyone know life can be fun no matter what.

I'm glad to hear you're recovering and hope you'll get stronger! I think a clown scooter would be pretty cool; you could get a bicycle horn, and plaster it with travel stickers

Just wanted to pop in and say that I'm so glad you're back. We've all been rather worried about you!
Yes....get a power scooter.....you could do all sorts of funny things to it! (you could probably pull some great ideas from clown cars.)

It's great to hear from you, we was getting worried as it had been so long. Scooters are great in the enviroment they were intended for. If you decided to go that route, make sure it does what you need it to. And keep up the walking. As I do Physical therapy they're a sore point with me ... DME companies make most of their money from big ticket items like scooter, power wheel chairs, I've seen them sold to people who were totally inappropriate, also if your wheelchair is new, it can effect you being covered for a standard wheelchair and lifts are not covered expenses and are around $400 if you have a vehile, that can have the towing hitch applied. , and no matter what they tell you, they are not easily broken down or easily transport without a lift, In my 23 yrs. I've not found a dealer that offers good reliable service [great fantastic til it sold once sold they responsible for any repairs that's where the trouble comes] sorry so long, warned you it was a sore spot for me.

Wow! I have heard references to "The Great Wilmoe" but since I've only been active on the forum for a short while I have not had the honor. It is a pleasure to meet you Sir. Did you by any chance stop into the Great Clown Adventures over the last couple of years? I was there in 2003 and 2005. Maybe we crossed paths after all.

So good to see you back here and hear that you're recovering.
As for balloons, perhaps you could be seated in an easy chair (hey maybe at Staples!) and let people line up and come to you.
