Do not sell your guitar even if you can not play it
It takes practice just like clowning and you will get better you can also use it with your clowning just ask Dave Bartlett about music in clowning Iam not the best player in the world but I find it can be relaxing Most kid songs are just basic cords and are easy to learn give it a try you wont reget it
