Default For those who have finished Harry Potter :)

Ok, this thread is for those who have finished Harry Potter and want to talk about the ending. Are you happy with the way the story ended?

Spoilers ahoy!

I'm relieved the big three (Harry, Hermione, and Ron) are still with us but miffed that Rowling killed off Lupin and Tonks just when they had found happiness. And poor little Dobby!

So I miss Dobby. I was so proud of him, givng up his life for Harry the way he did, but I'm still sad.
SOOOOO glad that Hermione is safe! I like her!
It was sad about Tonks and Lupin too, but they died fighting for what (and who) they believed in, so that makes it better.

I was actually expecting Draco to come forward at the last minute to save Harry, and die in the process. I'm glad Narcissa at least helped save Harry. I always liked the Malfoys.............. in a weird way.)

All in all, yes, I'm happy with the ending. I was glad to see that Harry and Ginny got back together too. And Ron and Hermione! How perfect!

I'm actually considering starting at the very beginning and re-reading the entire series over again.

He still could. A prequel. Either that or a fan based story. Some of my favorite authors have collected fan written stories based on their characters or based in their universe. It would be interesting to see all the differences.

I hope she doesnt. The Harry Potter series is fine where it is. A prequel, sequel, tv show, any of that will take it too far and just turn it into a bad joke. I mean, look at what happened to Star Wars!

Ah, but the cash cow she is riding... Even larger than the one that was Star Wars. She is already richer than the Queen, but there is more money to be made by those around her. She may be content with her bank account but those around her probably feel that they "deserve" their slice of the pie.

Winkie went on a blind date with Blinkie and they nodded off at the movies. And that is the true tale of "Winkin, Blinken, and Nod."

That's why I was pretty sure Harry would survive Book 7... market pressure. FAO Schwartz just opened a "Harry Potter store" a couple of weeks ago, and sales of all that memorabilia would have tanked if everyone was angry at Rowling. It was Ron and Hermione I was worried about.
