“Fifi” was born in a community theater show “Barnum, the Circus Musical” when I played a French clown who needed a French-sounding name. It was such fun that a couple of the other clowns and I continued clowning after the show ended. I added “D. Clown” on because people calling my answering machine would hear the name “Fifi” and think it was my dog. My dog’s name is “Opie”, which isn’t a bad clown name either.

My name is derived from a nickname my fiance gave me years ago, he used to call me Lump (after a song called 'shes lump'). I then used the nickname 'Unnatural Lump' online... I didn't think that fit well for a clown name so I chose Lumpy to make it sound a little more playful.

I am only 4'10 and my sister started calling me Dinky about 25 years ago. My real name is Deana and my friends call me Dee...I think the name fits pretty well. My husband said I might change my mind after school, but I dont know, I think I like it.

I'm working toward becoming a chaplain in the military, hence, "Chappy." Even though I searched and found a few other "Chappy the Clown"'s, I didn't quite like the sound of it. "Happy Chappy" seemed to go together well.

It's nice to meet another short clown, I am 4'9" - I personally like being short though it can be a pain at shops or in the kitchen when I need to reach something particularly high!!!

I've always liked characters that were a bit prone to gambling, card tricks and sucker bets. Before I got into clowning I was interested in magic, especially card tricks or card cons like the Three Card Monte. I have also always been partial to sucker bets. Chance came from that.
Marmalade was the last name of an eccentric dancer in vaudeville and also had a nice silly ring to it.
I was The Great Hankini for a time when I was doing a lot of handkerchief stuff, after that and up until the last year or so I went by Chance Magellan because a performing partner and I were playing world traveling vaudevillians. That act was a lot of fun. I may revamp it for a single clown and take it out on the streets again!

Bonkers came about in 1992 before I knew I was a clown. I had a gig for a local radio station. Some of you that have been to Louisville may have heard of it WAMZ. I was doing the party nameless and a little girl that melted my heart asked me what my name was and I said Bonkers she asked me why and I told her because I was bonkers to meet her. 15years later I'm a clown!
Suitcase, I use to have a stuffed dog for a side kick and I named him boxcar LOL then we meet go figure I think it fate
