Ok, here's an idea ... when Sonshine starts to sew, I am going to rush over there and sit on the floor and do balloons. I think I will start out with baby steps too. I've got the basic dog pretty well memorized, but I'm ready to expand to broader horizons. As she is sitting there sewing hats for Sonshine, I will be making CATS out of balloons, or maybe even a parrot. You know, simple stuff. When we have our creations finished, we will BE SURE to post pictures right here on Clown Forum. Pictures that have never been seen anywhere else in the world!!
She at least has the knowledge to sew; I don't retain my information about balloons very well. To me, if it doesn't have the same twists as a dog, I'm really lost. It's surprising how many things can be made with those same basic twists. And ... buffaloing comes in handy. A child asks for something in a balloon, I make it out of the same twists as a dog, add the necessary markings, give them a big SMILE as you hand them EXACTLY WHAT THEY ASKED FOR and the kids are happy as a dog with ten tails. That's just one of the reasons I LOVE KIDS.

Thanks for the offer, but I'm really not sure I'm "balloonable", Fitzwilly. I've had people try and try to help me, but I'm really stuck on dogs, giraffes, monkey, swords, hats ... you get the picture. Some people can look at something or imagine it in their head and create some magnificant balloon sculpture. That part of my brain is filled with some kind of other matter. I really don't like balloons at all and unless someone specifically requests them, I do too.
But ... if you know of a balloon jam around this area that you think would help me, or some sort of balloon sculpture retaining drug I could take, I'm IN.
My friend, Sonshine does BEAUTIFUL balloons. She sat with me and very patiently watched me struggle with a flower bracelet as she was working on some centerpiece or something. Hopscotch helped me one time before a birthday party and they turned out so well, I took them to the birthday kids (twins). That was really dumb, though, because the kids wanted the exact same balloons, and of course, I couldn't do it. I had to fess up and tell them the truth ... that it was really time for me to go ... my turn to feed the elephants at the zoo, you know.
My husband is working 3-11's now, so my plan is to sit here at night and PRACTICE. That could be why God allowed my sewing machine to die right before Christmas ... you know???

I've worked with a fair number of people who thought they were unballoonable. I would be glad to spend a couple of hours seeing if I could help you as well. I realize that different people process information differently and I am usually able to tailor (sewing reference) my helping accordingly. Besides just because something may look fancy or complicated doesn't really mean it is.

Those pictures are repulsive and disgusting and a disgrace to a very beautiful and wonderful profession of clowning. It's distasteful things like this that scares people of clowns, who are, for the most part, out to make the world a happier place. I personally don't have any time for this kind of trash.
