the issue is not getting a Job it is that I do not get paid in time or enough from my new job to prevent the loss of my car.

I am willing to sell my X-box 360, Canon Rebel XT 8mp camera, Onkyo 1000 watt 6.1 surround stereo, Whites DFX Metal detector, Heck even My Computer and Dell 24" widescreen monitor for what ever you all think its worth If I can not get $800 for all this then I do not deserve to even exist. I paid $825 for the monitor alone, and $900 for the camera $1,100 for the detector so its not cheap stuff. problem is I need the money within 3 days so I am kinda out of luck as it would take longer than that formoney to clear the bank

Fast Eddie,

If I were you, I would call the insurance company and whoever the car is financed through and try to work out a deal. Let them know you are employed now and will be sending them money shortly. They do not want to repossess the car; they would rather have you pay for it.

You may ask your current employer to write a letter or make a phone call and put in a good word for you. It may not work but it is worth a try. Having a car repossessed will kill your credit!

Good luck!
Darrell

It is through Bank of America and I called them a week ago. I explained my issues and asked if the could move this month to the last payment slot to allow me breathing room for pay checks to start, they said since I had not had the loan for 6 months yet there was nothing they could do. I wish i got my loan with Citibank like last time, they bent over backwards to help me when I was on hard times and outside of being a week or 2 late a few times I never missed a payment.

Maybe Citibank will pick you up somehow now? Banks are always selling loans to each other, so if they could get your money they just might be happy to do it.

one thing I might suggest is once you do get back on your feet try Dave Ramsey's siminar Finacial Peace it is great I like his quote and I am having to live by it right now "If you want to live like noone else you have to live like noone else" Meaning if you want the finer things in life you have to sell everything and start from nothing. I am having to sell everything including my truck which is 13 years old but I have kids so what is a dad supposed to do.

Default My Life Update: new Job

Well I had a bit of interesting good luck 2 days ago. I was Driving to the VA Hospital and got a phone call from another job application I had submitted, I got the Job I start Sunday and it will start out paying $2.15 more than my current job with a $0.25 raise after 90 days. I closed my savings account and overdrawn my checking account to make my car insurance payment, still owe $556 on the Car but trying to at least find away to get half that to keep the car. But least I managed to increase my income and lower my travel distance from 10 miles a day to 1 mile.

Also have a lead on a Job that is 30-45 min away that will start me out at $14+ an hour but till I get my bills caught up I can not afford to apply for it, so I will just hope they have openings at that rate once I am back on my feet.

thanks for your well wishes and prayers.

Edward
