The Magic of Technology
 This is Ishmael. He'll be here on or around January 13, 2008. From a 4D ultrasound. Amazing how detailed the image is. I'm in awe every time I look at the photo. Kind of nifty seeing the miracle of life unfold visually. Putting a face to the kid kicking me all night long from within of my mate's belly.

Wow, it's amazing how technology has advanced, both of my kids looked like cute little aliens on ultrasound, and my youngest is 3!

When the baby opens his eyes with the new ultrasound, the image registers as the eyes being black. It's kinda weird, and the first thing I thought of is how it looked like alien eyes. Still amazing how they can get such detailed images from an external machine. Watching it in progress was neat - well watching the results was neat - it's done the same way traditional ultrasounds are. If any of you become expecting parents (again, in some cases) - I'd absolutely recommend having it done! Sort of pricey - we had to pay about $125 as it generally isn't covered under most insurance.

that's so cool,
my brother and his wife were getting an ultrasound the year "America's Funniest Video" came out and the Dr. office offered to copy the ultra sound on tape for you but you had to supply the tape, well they brought in a use on and instead of record the nurse hit play and here came [what's his name, from the show] the Nurse thought that they were being tricked. Got a big laugh.

That is really neat. It's so neat to see the little faces ... I'm sure you do look at it all the time. Very wonderful ... and congratulations. Be sure and post pictures after he is born so we can compare!! Modern technology is TRULY amazing.
