Great site. I assume we're not to cheat. A mere 41 for me, and I'm just the princess' page.

I made it up to level 45 a briefly. they have a bunch of really weird words all right, and the relationship between the two words really varies.

Well, I'm a product of the New York City public school system. That seems to be helping.
Actually I'm not being flippant; at the higher levels they have a lot of old English, nautical and medical terminology, and portmanteaus from other languages (mostly Yiddish, Hindi, and Arabic). I've had a lot of exposure to those subjects, and can figure out some of the roots.

I'm up to level 46 on a fairly regular basis. Isuppose it would help if I tried playing during the day instead of after midnight.

This is difficult to give up on. If I know the thing well enough, I feel obligated to contribute rice. But if I don't I want to guess so I can learn what the word means.
Anyway, I have thus far offered 2160 grains of rice in a sitting.
My highest level was 37. But I'm down to 31 at the moment. I missed some of the early ones, which held me back, I think.
Some of these I really ought to know. Others are challenging to find the specific meaning which they are looking for by way of analogy. It would be helpful to see the terms used in a sentence construct.
But once I got into thinking along the lines that they were looking for, I could have a lot of fun with it. It makes for a nice, and enriching, game. It is, ultimately, challenging not just your vocabulary but your ability to make connections and see analogy of meanings.

well, I ended up with about 1000 more. Seems like I hovered around 33-35, with lows of about 31 and highs of 37.
So maybe I won't get into Harvard, but perhaps I can attend a quality 2nd tier school. Oh, wait, I thought I was taking the SAT again for a moment there!

Shouldn't we also include our favorite rice dishes?

Are you donating a special "vitamin enriched" rice there Tim?
I know exactly what you mean about thinking sideways to match the connection they are making. And it is fun to see what the words you don't know mean. I can usually narrow it down to two choices but...
