6- what's the worst thing for a clown? not likeing to make people feel better or likeing kids at all you dont have the heart for clowning get out of the grease paint

1- why do you wanted to be a clown?

I've always been enchanted by clowns. Chaplin was a big inspiration for me of course and I can't recall every year that I've been him for Halloween but I am guessing 3 or 4. Something about the character (and others I found later on) that really intrigued me, in a magical sort of way. Can't quite put my finger on it. Then in 1998 when I was working on my theatre degree I saw Fool Moon with Bill Irwin and David Shiner and decided right there that I wanted to do that kind of stuff even more than I wanted to act. Took me until my 30th birthday to take that path though and now it's my driving passion.

2-do you have a stapler?

I don't, there is never a need for a stapler when creative origami will do the trick! Sadly I don't know any origami so I just fold pages together.

3- when was your first presentation?

As far as theatre goes it was back in 1992 when I graduated from Seattle Children's Theatre Young Actor's Training Program. I got in the following year too. We did several shows at the end and they were my first taste of life performing.

4- what are your masters of clowning/acting?

In acting I would say I am good at (though no master!) creating believability in a character. And in clowning I would say I'm best at conveying emotion on the audience. Whether the character is sad, happy or something else.

5- what's the square root of 9?

3! Thankfully we aren't working in cube roots!

6- what's the worst thing for a clown?

To be unable to reflect emotion.

7- have you ever thought of satirizing that teenager-emo-style?

I have satirized it in a podcast once. It's just too easy!

Tai-Pho! Oh so good, especially since I am sick. It was D-Lish.

I think I rented some episodes of Lost with my girlfriend.

Sesame Street is a good one! That or people's personality quirks of which I have many!

I would accept the paycheck from that job if no one claims it!

I nicknamed my girlfriend pie as in sweetie. So I guess I have!

16- say about some celebrity you like?

I think Johnny Depp is one of the best actors of my generation. Has anyone else noticed the similarities to Jack Sparrow gags as to gags that were in old vaudeville shows? It's been updated, but still recognizable!

17- what's your clown style and why did you choose it?

I suppose you could say my clown style is technically vaudeville but I guess I could also link it to slapstick with heart. It spoke to me more than any other art form. I guess it chose me!

That's my stapler. Please can I have it...

19- do you think i am annoying?

I think staplers are annoying! They are dangerous!

No.

Not in the clown sort of way!

17- what's your clown style and why did you choose it?My clown style is mostly slapstick. I choose it because i have some background in the martial arts, and I wanted to incorporate it, in a humourous manner. I also pantomime.
