Willace my friend, I think you would be happier if you tried making a few small changes in your life.
1) Buy a new pair of sunglasses.
2) Set a schedule where you are waking up earlier and going to bed earlier. (Mainly because all of us need to interact with other people. Even if you don't talk to them it is good to be around others and watch them. It gives us as clowns some new ideas for our clowning.)
3) Turn off the television and video games. Not completely but cut down on the time you spend watching the box. A friend of mine was talking about advertising and the television industry. I don't know who he quoted but it was a real bigwig in the advertising world. He said that television has one purpose, and that purpose is to make the viewer unhappy. Sound strange? He said that when the viewer is unhappy they are more willing to go out and buy the products he advertises. The programs are just filler to make sure people stick around to watch the commercials.
4) Take more walks, drives, bike rides, and the like (this is where the sunglasses come in handy, since I know the sun hurts your eyes.) The fresh air is good for you and what you see will give you something to think about besides "What a loser you are." Don't be too suprised I wrote that because you have said that is what you think all the time. BUT... I know and so does the REST OF YOUR FRIENDS that that is WRONG! You ARE NOT a loser, you are a winner waiting for the right moment.
As far as being happier right now? Pal you have lost more weight in the last few months than I have in years. I look to you for inspiration on by battle to lose weight. You are not an ugly man Will. I know you really like Captain Jack, and in the Pirates movies He looks striking but have you seriously looked at just how dorky he dresses and looks in real life? Robin Williams looks like any one of thousands of two bit drunks sometimes but it is not his looks that make him successful, it is what he has inside. Will, do realize that each one of us look forward to logging on to the Forum each day, not only to read the latest posts, but because we know you are going to be here, and that my friend makes our day a happier place.
So, in a saying that is so popular these days "Get over it!" Each mormning when you wake up tell yourself that today is going to be a great day. It may not be a perfect day but it is going to be a great day. You are fantastic in the kitchen. Make some cookies and take a couple to your Grandmother's friends as well as the nursing staff.
We love you Will, and because we care we are willing to kick your butt once in a while if that is what it takes to make you realize that you are a great guy.
