I understand, I'm ADD/HD too.. And I have been all my life I guess...And I do not take medicine either.

Any type of Drug can give anyone side effects, and possibly change who you are. And if Medicine works for anyone, then that is great. They're several medicines out there for ADD/HD.

A Doctor told me "In order to get better and find the right medicine that works, it may take time and patients".

I've chosen to not take medicine for it. My Co-Pays are too high.

And believe me it's a lot of work and sometimes its a struggle to stay on task and focus and it is not easy.

Markie, Please if having ADD/HD is effecting you to where it seriously bothers you, please seek a health clinic in your area by calling the welfare office, There are clinic's that will treat you free, or by a sliding fee according to what you make if your employed.

Ahhh, I think I've found relief, in the form of an herb called Guarana. It's helping me a TON so far, though I just took the first one a few hours ago so I can't be sure yet. Time will tell, I'm desperate and my next step would be a doctor, so one must do what one must do...

Blessings all,

Mark

P.S. Willace, if you DON'T have ADHD stimulants (any stimulant) will have a very different affect on you, so your experience wasn't really valid (cuz ur problem was hearing related)... Mark

Mark,

You should take the advice you have been given here and go see a doctor. There is no benefit in waiting. Best of luck with whatever you do.

Darrell

Honestly Darrell, I can't afford to - while I was desperate enough to almost just do so, this herb (Guarana) is helping me focus and concentrate and stay calm a lot and at $9 a bottle, it's way cheaper than any doctor and doctor-prescribed drugs. That's reality

Not all Dr. are quick to perscribe medications, look for a D.O that is an 'Osteopath". These are Doctors but that also have more focus on herbs and alternitive medicine

'A doctor of osteopathic medicine (D.O.) is a physician licensed to perform surgery and prescribe medication. Like an M.D., an osteopathic physician completes 4 years of medical school and can choose to practice in any specialty of medicine. However, osteopathic physicians receive an additional 300 to 500 hours in the study of hands-on manual medicine and the body's musculoskeletal system.
Osteopathic medicine is dedicated to treating and healing the entire patient as a whole, rather than focusing on one system or body part. An osteopathic physician will often use a treatment method called manipulation -- a hands-on approach to assure that the body is moving freely. This free motion ensures that all of your body's natural healing systems are free to work unhindered."

This type of Dr. is more likely to see if alternitive treatment instead of drug would help. D.O are not as easy to find as MD though, but worth it.
