Clown Heart Fellowship of Christian Clowns Midwest Conference

Wow! We had a really great time at the FCC conference this year in Indy!

Our Alley "Kum join us Klowns" hosted and recieved many thanks and learned alot from our wonderful presenters!

We all appreciated Dave Mitchell (especially Funny Bonz and Sassy Frass) His comedy magic is the BEST! Fitzwilly, Dave says hi!

Ralph Dewey taught Sassy how to do the "Keys to the Kingdom" routine (the simple way) HA!

Heather Banks taught Sassy, Hopscotch, and Shellie- Belle...well, we'll just say ALOT! Right girls??
I had a blast with her as I am now dubbed her official historian of the conference this year...

Dana and Jane Abendschein (Hospitial, Nursing home, Retirement home clowns) taught everything from how to start into this Ministry area to how to properly enter a room...I strongly suggest you get in touch with these two if you are considering this area of clowning/ministry!

Gary and Ann Gramlich taught us how to turn PVC into anything from a puppet stage to a microphone....don't be discouraged...It's easier than you think! Plus they have step-by-step instructions if you need them!

Nikki Jones taught "Fractured Tales from the Bible" What a laugh, and the kid's will love it! They, (She and Tony) had just returned from South Africia teaching everything from how to lead a child to Christ to how to share God's Love Through Laughter.

Tony Jones taught us How to market your Clown and how to properly apply grease paint. (fast and easy)!!

Bo and Brenda Brown were there and these guys have the cutest props ever! Bo is a hoot and Brenda is a sweet little whiteface!

We had a "Friday Night Show" and the presenters were really funny and we all got to get to know each other better.
(for those who had not had the chance to meet them before)!

We had some really AWESOME give aways, from the presenters...Bo and Brenda gave a Bible (made with foam and compartments) HUGE! AND the MOST OUTRAGEOUS camera you have ever seen! I think we had around fifteen giveaways...

All-in-all We had a great time (for only $30 a day or $55 for two) and Princess, I wore my button everywhere (just in case)! I will post some pic's later when I have more time.

We will be hosting again next year (end of March) so I will let everyone know when registration will begin for those of you who are interested.

I would like to especially thank
Shellie-Belle and Hopscotch for joining us on Thur.
(Don't tell our president that you were there) HA!
AND all day Friday....
I'll have NO BUTTER on that broccoli PLEASE!!
What did you girls think of the Dealer's Room??? I THINK I KNOW! EH HEM...... SHELLIE BELLE... AND HOPSCOTCH you enjoy your Silly farm supplies, DO YOU NEED A CART WITH THAT ORDER????!!!

Giggles Galore!

So tell me about the FCC. I'd heard of Fellowship of Christian Magicians (in fact I'm a member), but I'd never heard of FCC. Is the organization new? Several years ago I subscribed to that magazine, The Cross & the Clown, but I don't think there was a club associated with it at that time.

I think Baloon said it best...

As some of you have heard on the various E-groups already there has
been discussion about the formation of a Christian Clown
association.

We would like to start off by saying thank you to Chris Burton for
sending out the initial email. We felt it was important for the
first email to be sent out by an impartial party in order to get
unbiased responses as to whether this was something you wanted.
According to the overwhelming responses in favor of this group, we
are moving forward.

The group of Christian clowns who shared in the vision of forming
this association has come together to form the Vision Team; they are
as follows: Dana and Jane Abendschein, Randy Christensen, Gary and
Ann Gramlich, Tony and Nikki Jones and John and Phyllis Sheffield.

We would now like to share the vision of this association. It will
be a non-denominational, non-political, non-biased Christian clown
fellowship; a fellowship of Christian clowns, hence the name
FELLOWSHIP OF CHRISTIAN CLOWNS. We thank everyone who offered ideas
for names, they were greatly appreciated. The group will be
dedicated to education, networking missions and fellowship.

As with every association there has to be a mouthpiece to get
information to the member, this is done through either the
association? s newsletter or magazine. Since there is already a
Christian clown magazine on the market and not wanting to duplicate
something already in place; the publisher of the Cross and the Clown
magazine have offered to give any and all rights to the Cross and
the Clown allowing it to become the official magazine of FCC. (If
you are a current subscriber to the Cross and the Clown, do not
worry this will not affect your current subscription there will be
detailed information in the next issue; make sure you read it.)

Furthermore, the Vision Team has discussed dividing the U.S. into
ten regions to better serve the membership. Each region will have
an appointed facilitator to serve as a liaison between the members
and the Operations Committee to communicate prayer needs, desires to
do mission trips and other needs. At this time all areas outside
the U.S. will fall under one international facilitator until the
time when international membership deems it necessary to split those
areas.

Like any association there will be some administrative costs and we
will strive to keep them as minimal as possible, therefore one
magazine will be sent to families (the first family member will have
the magazine sent to them, all other members can sign up at a
greatly reduced cost.) The yearly dues will be as follows:

$35.00 (U.S. Currency) Individual
Membership
$10.00 (U.S. Currency) Additional Family Member (living in
your house)

Anyone signing up before July 1, 2008 will be charter members. To
sign up today you can send in the $35 to P.O. Box 8, Madison GA
30650. Or if you already receive the magazine you can send in $10 to
become a charter member which will carry you to the end of your
subscription of the magazine.

I live in Wisconsin, so which region would I be in? Are there many members in my region? Is there an FCC website? Thanks for the background info!

The website is Clowning4Christ.
I would think that Wisconsin would be Midwest region...
But for your specific questions I will refer you to Tony Jones who can answer those better than myself.
His cell is:706-557-9821
