friendship bracelets

I just did a very nice high end event in Boston. In the planning stage a friend of mine from TX suggested I make friendship bracelets. She had this thing I am anxious to tell you about.
It is made of wood and is like a propeller. a dowl stick goes thru it to swing it by. You would use yarn to make it and the children pick the colors. If they are old enough you let them swing the propeller. They get a bracelet and go on their way. It is faster than a balloon and is not a choking hazard and does not pop. Everyone loved it. They were amazed. It was easy for me. What more could you want?
I asked my friend if the person she got it from was still selling them and the answer was no.
Have any of you heard of this? Seen it? Love or hate it?
I may can arrange to make them if need be. I think it is a viable option to either face painting (for the artisticly impaired) or balloons (same or choking fearful) Just another option. I can tell you love it. what do you think?

Coco: I HAVE heard of this. Gosh, I wish I could remember who it was who had one of these. (I've lived in so many places and I can't keep them all straight.) I think it might have been a clown I knew in Hutchinson, MN. I am going to e-mail one of the clowns there and see if they remember who had it. I'll let you know. You're right -- it was really cool.

If someone is still making and selling them I wanted to find out. If not, someone should. I can trace out a pattern if there is an industrious clown out there somewhere. But to be fair I wanted to see if anyone else is selling them.
It is just such a great alternative to balloons. Don't get me wrong...I love balloons but how many times have we looked for a new idea?

ok - I'm crafty & creative & I'm confused... But it sounds really cool. If you can find pictures or find someone that makes them or something, I'd love to see what you are talking about.

I saw that tool awhile back and thought it was so cool. I haven't been able to find one either. I'll keep a look out. I've searched the web but with no luck.
