Computer trouble

Thursday evening during chat I was kicked out the door. I was able to come back in for a moment but before I was even able to post I was kicked out the door. After that I was not even able to log into the regular website. I rebooted the computer a couple of times and ran two different virus scanners. I still couldn't log into the Forum. I tried clicking on my history to log in as well as Googling the Forum and following the link. And last but not least I typed in the address. I did not have trouble logging into any other website I tried. The problem seemed to be limited to the Forum's site.

I was finally able to log back in even though I didn't do anything different than I have been trying all day long.

Has anybody else experienced something like this with the Forum?

before I left last night the writing slowed way down. I would type a short sentence and wait up to a minute to see it finish typing out. It was late so I just went to bed. I do'n know if it was my computer or what. This morning everything was fine. I have never seen it do anything like that. I don't know if that helps. probabley not...

Fitz, were you getting any error messages? Did the pages not load or did they load and not do anything? Glad it cleared up but someone else was having trouble logging in a couple of weeks ago...

No error messages at all. The page, any page from clown forum just would not pull up. Sometimes it would revert back to the previous webpage I was looking at, at other times it was "could not connect with the server" (basically the same message when my internet connection is slow and I try to open too many pages at once.)

That happens to me quite typically and all too often. (Including last night.) In fact, sometimes a message gets entirely lost. Of late, I've also been getting knocked out repeatedly and sometimes getting disconnected from my dialup connection, entirely when I hit the button to send a message.

But it is intermittent. At other times I have no trouble at all.

Still, it is frequent enough to be a pain.

Had all the symptom's of a computer with a virus. All other activity was normal such as accessing other sites etc.
Tried logging in several times with success arriving each time in the afternoons. Surfing through the Forum was a nightmare. Yet, without warning, everything returns to normal.

Put a lime in the cocoanut, and call me in da morning...

I've had the same problem, myself, in the past. Thankfully I didn't have too much of a problem this past Thursday, until closer to, what time was it? 3:30ish am I think. I am usually on dial up on when I'm in the chatroom at night. And I usually get kicked at least once while I'm in chat, but I've never had it where I couldn't get back onto the site.
