Default Whew.... Shopping at Larocks can be expensive!

Ok so I think I just melted my visa card... This evening I was browsing through the Larocks Magic tricks, Props, and such... shopping around finding a few props, tricks, supplies, and things I liked/wanted/just-had-to-have. I ended up taking advantage of the "If you spend $150 theres no shipping fee".... I ended up spending $168.05

Heres what I ended up ordering.

A Thumb Tip Blendo Set $6.50
2 Thumbtip B's (Soft) $9.95
A set of 2 blue D'lights $29.95
3 Clown Pins at $2.95 ea. Reading:

"On the 8th Day God made Clowns"
"Puppets Need A Helping Hand"
"My Son Is A Clown" (This one is for my parents)

A new Proknows BC Nose $15.00
A Red Fun Flip Wig $23.50 (.50 cents cheaper than Mooseburger... I checked)
(These Items are For Lewie D. Lightful the whiteface I'm working on)

The Invisible Dog Leash $5.50
A set of Vanishing Crayons $3.50
A Magic Colring Book $7.95
A BreakAWay Fan $7.50
The Mismade Flag 12x18 Set $29.95 (I already have a change bag)
Set of Gospel Scarves (Jesus/Devil Prints and 1 solid white) $19.95

Grand Total.... $168.05

Ok so I admit that I was kind of like a kid in a candy store... but I'm excited about these new additions to my clown trunk. They are some of my favorite tricks and gags. As far as I'm concerned it is money well spent.

How long does it usually take for La Rocks to ship??I know several of you use them for supplies.

I got pretty much everything I've been 'jonesing for' here lately... I'd still like to add a Dove Pan, and a foam production cross/Bday cake to my routine... They are still on my list.

Clowns are worse than women when it comes to spending.

Though it sounds like you made some sound purchases which will be a genuine investment and carry true return.

So True... when it comes to props and whatnots I'm almost as bad as Nettie Belle and Blondie with their shoes.

I thought they would be sound investments to my entertaining aswell. I figured if they were some of my favorite tricks as a child then others would enjoy them aswell.

Its about time I learn exactally how that darn fan works... A clown handed me his once when I was little and it broke every darn time.

Dazzle:

Congrats on your purchases. You will get a lot of mileage out of your new toys.

Speaking of "mileage," I always use my frequent flier card for clown shopping sprees. Then, when the bill comes, instead of despair, I rejoice over all the miles I earned!

Sounds like you picked up a lot of items. I love getting free shipping, but I usually end up spending twice the minimum amount. You did good if you only spent an extra $18, it will make it easier to reach $150 next time you go shopping.

I need to go shopping soon. I keep waiting for that month when I suddenly realize that I didn't spend enough money. Maybe that rebate Uncle Sam is promissing will give me the inspiration to spend money.

Good job RD. You made some solid choices without really going overboard. It is easy at Larocks or just about any magic shop to spend and spend and spend, there is always "just one more" gotta have item. Well done.

I'm not allowed to shop without my wife. I just like that at Tmeyer. She hears the fan unit kick on the computer and she comes runninig. She know that I am going nuts wanting to buy.

FYI - Penguin Offers free shipping on all orders (or at least did when I placed my last order there).

That being said, LaRock's gets a lot of business as well

Sounds like you did good, we just had Ickle Pickle for a lecture at Buffalo Clown Alley, I dropped over a $100.00 there, but he offers a lot of discounts on his products at his lectures.
