Hi Markie

It's great you have your site up and running ... I hope it's beginning to work for you.

How many 'hits' (visits per day) are you getting and what percentage are you converting into gigs?

Because that's what a site is for, isn't it?

I've only just jopined here and don't want to be over critical before people know what I am about ... but IF you are trying to get business from your site, there are a number of things you should change.

Let me know and we can discuss it here. That may prove useful to others. If not, I'll happily give constructive comments on anyone's site ... along with solutions!

John, I am always looking for ideas. If you have a few minutes to look over mine: LaughingstockPro.com 574-904-9643 LaughingstockPro@yahoo.com Dan Langwell as Fitzwilly the Clown I wouldn't mind hearing your comments. I don't expect a full rundown like you would for a paying client, though I appreciate any insight you might be willing to share.

Markie,

Forgive me if it's there and I just didn't see it, but is there a photo of YOU on your website? I saw lots of cute kids but no clown. If I were going to your website as a potential customer, I would want to see what you looked like. And maybe a photo or two of you in action.

Markie:

I just read on another post that you are not a clown, which explains why there are no clown pictures on your website! It still would be nice to have a photo of you at work though.

Okay, I need a picture of me at work. I know that. There is a picture that contains me but it's tiny and hard to see. I just don't have the picture you desire. I'm working on it...

Hi Markie,

Very nice site, hope you don't mind me giving you a little constructive advise

Here it is
  • you should put all your images in a folder named "images" and then link to them there. This avoids problems with search engines and other browser problems
  • inside the code for your images tags insert
    Code:
    style="margin:5px;
    so it looks like this
    Code:
    <img src="DSC00131.jpg" width="320" height="240" align="left" style="margin:5px;>
    - This will give you a little room between the text and the pictures for ease of reading
  • You want to make the titles of your page as descriptive as possible - this is how search engines are going to find you , and the best shot you have is in your title.
I love the flash, very nice
Hope this helps

Its all about SEO my friend, about being seen on search engines... if you do it right you can get 500 hits a day in your first month after launching your site... SEO (search engine optimisation) is my side job (the one I do during the week)....

I can help anyone with SEO advise....

Thanks clowning around - I'd never heard images should be in a seperate folder before. Any reason why that is?

I did add some image margin... 2px on most, 4 on the front page.. for that reason.

Thanks!
