Default Help for Birthday Party

I need help regarding what to charge for a B-day Party for 7yr olds.
How do you know what to charge? They only want balloon twisting and face painting but I've have never done a b-day party before. I normally do hospitals and nursing homes but need to supplement my ministry some how so decided b-day parties would be a good way but have no idea what to charge. HELP PLEASE! any suggest would be taken into consideration.

Personally I charge $45/hr for balloons and face painting with a two hour minimum.

$90 is the norm then, unless it's a quite large party.

Of course, I have no idea how good my pricing is - but people happily pay it. I'm not sure if I'm at the ideal price or not.

It will also depend on your location. I moved to a fairly rural part of Virginia and from a larger metropolitan - my prces dropped accordingly.

For out of clown work, I charge:

Stilt Walking: $75/hr

Fire Breathing: $125/hr

Strolling Magic: $75/hr

Juggling: $35/hr

Balloon Sculpture: $55/hr

Face Painting: $55/hr

How many children will be at the party? Figure out how long it will take you to make balloons and paint that amount of faces. See if you can find out what other children's entertainers charge in your area. I charge $100 an hour and $25 for each additional 1/2 hr. I'm low-average for my area. I am just reentering the birthday party market after a 10 year abscense. With the price of gas, be sure to adjust prices for any parties that require any travel time. Best of luck with your new business venture.

check the yellow pages and call a few and see what their charges are. You don't want to over charge but neither do you want to undercharge. uneployment is high here. I charge 100 for 1to 1/2 hrs. Generally I do a magic show, then face painting or balloons.

Thank you everyone. I had called around the area and got about $200 for 1 1/2 hours, but thought this quite high. I decided to go much cheaper to start with. Thanks again for all you help
