The mandolin has a maple back and sides, a three piece maple neck, with a brazilian rosewood fingerboard and ebony bridge. It sound great and has a tremendous amount of volume.Especially since the body is only one inch deep! it has the chopand volume of a bluegrass carved top and back, yet still has a sweet tone reminiscent of a traditional Celtic style. I'm pretty pleased with it. I just hope that the owners will play it and treasure it.
