Default What every clown buys when they first start out that they do not need...

I thought this would be a fun post. We all have things we purchased as new clowns that sit in our closets and collect dust. Here are mine...(I am almost too embrarassed to admit)

Horribly plastic uncomfortable clown shoes

Squirting Flower

Big Plastic Glasses

White gloves

An awful cheap rainbow wig (yikes)

I spent the last six years working at a magic/clown/costume shop if that isn't enough to tell you I have a bunch of stuff laying around...

As my clowning character became more defined my look changed. I still have most of my old "stuff" but I keep it boxed up for a good reason.

I have a couple of books which I have hardly read. I actually think that most of the stuff I bought early on gets mostly used (or has already been set aside and forgotten about.) I do have a "bag 'o tricks" (literally in a brown paper bag) which often just sit around awaiting eventual use for whatever.

Luckily I found this forum and did a bit of research before hand , so I am not falling into the same traps as some. I am originaly a face painter so face painting supplies is a totally different story! I have a feeling most of it will go bad before I ever use it all.

We would really appreciate your sharing your information and knowledge concerning face painting. Many of us do some painting but I know I always welcome new (and usually better) ideas.
