Well, Harpoetta, Fitzwilly, and whoever I am are ready to resign at last, and head off to bed (or is it Church?) The "Spring Fling" now formally comes to a close. It's all yours, Willace, as always. Last man standing again.

Wow! What a weekend. I want to start by thanking everyone, and I do mean everyone, for supporting our first Spring Fling. All told there are about 30 to 35 different individuals who attended during the weekend. Last night Azzy, Scruffy, Tim, Haroetta and I sat down and started talking after things started slowning down around 1am or so. We finally started thinking it might be a good idea to get some sleep about 5:30am. I got home about 6am and I have my doubts about Tim going to sleep at all..
Pricilla and Fred were fantastic!!! Everything was tailored to what we wanted and what we needed. What an experience.

Sleep is what tomorrow is for!
What a nice ride back on the South Shore. (Thanks to Fitz and Scruff for playing red cap and handing my bags.) I thoroughly enjoyed it. Even the parts I almost actually slept through.
It was great to meet so many of you in person and put a (non-clown) face with the name. How good it was to see Tricia, Fred, and the others from Mooseburger again! I'll never tire of taking classes with them or spending time around such quality people who are also great instructors and entertainers, not to mention friends. They truly went out of their way and put it all on the table; much more than could have been asked or expected. They deserve a hearty thanks.
I made new friends, grew in friendship with old ones, learned a lot, and grew as a clown, as a person, and for my business. It was a unique opportunity; one which I hope everyone appreciates well.
And yet it was only a start. The first clown forum Spring Fling may have come to a close. Yet, certainly, there are other opportunities yet to be realized (perhaps not only in South Bend but beyond) in this regard. Clown-Forum.com and the clowning community, at large, is a very unique, quite special thing which we all must work to foster and nurture as much as possible. My hope is that each of us can, in our own individual and collective way, find opportunities and commit ourselves to further this endeavor by both blooming where we are planted and taking risks by going outside ourselves and sometimes all too comfortable environments.
Congratulations and thanks to Fitzwilly (Dan) and all others who participated in this great event by making one significant such step in that positive direction.
We all missed you Willace, but thought about you often all weekend. While we all wished you could have joined us in presence, you were most certainly accompanying us in spirit. I'm confident that there are going to be many other opportunities for you to experience gatherings like this one, if you simply stick with it and stay committed to growth as a clown by doing whatever little you can when possible in this regard. Thank you for your own faithfulness to the clown community here at clown-forum, especially. You're an important, special part of making it all happen - more than you know and more than many. We greatly appreciate that and believe in you.

Here is a slideshow of some of the ones who were at the Spring Fling 2008. I hope at the next one, even more will be there and the toilet for the girls is working properly.
I think I did pretty good ... as you all probably know, I'm sort of a shopper, and I only spent $78 TOTAL ... including food and gas. (do I hear a round of applause from the Shopaholics Anonymous team?)
Well, anyway, click on this and here are some pictures.

Nettie... Your pics are great... Thanks for the captions underneath telling who everyone was .... I never would have guessed that was actually scruffy... he looks different without his makeup lol... The only one I didn't have trouble recogizing was Pricillia but thats only because her normal and clown headshots are right next to each other on her site.
So did you guys and gals get in 'full clown' at all this weekend??

What is it with Northerners that put sugar in cornbread?? Thats not cornbread! When you put sugar in cornbread it becomes CAKE!!!
Put the sugar in the tea! Thats where it belongs! I like my tea to be so sweet that I can pour it on my pancakes if I run out of syrup!

By the way, don't you just LOVE the flower that Azzy chose to wear in his hair???

Just kidding! He was sitting in front of a rack full of Mooseburger costumes.

Nettie, The unknown Clown is Smirky. A great guy who literally signed up on the forum the day before, came to the fling, had Tricia try a new face on him for not wearing a wig, and signed up for Moosecamp.
THAT is one stop shopping!
BTW,Great pictures!
