A pie in the face would be an improvement
Screwing around with makeup this morning, took some pictures, and now looking at them I am thinking, "If this guy came running up to me I'd hit him with a shovel." Maybe it's just the angle... taking pictures of yourself in a mirror sucks. Or maybe I am just UHHHG-LEEE!
Anyway, this is the mouth area only:  I should maybe just startt over, huh?

Yeah, I don't know if I see any problem with it, either. If you wanted to try to change it a little, about the only item I can see which would maybe be worth working with would be possibly to make the white area just a tad smaller. But I don't think it is necessary to do so.

Well thank you both, that's nice to hear. Normally I keep all mirrors the mirrors smeared with vasoline so I never really get a good look at myself.

What an amazingly expressive face. I think you are doing a fabulous job. The lines seem to be right where the movement is. I think you might try black on your lip instead of red. I look froward to seeing the finished product.

Wow, I really like it! It's not "Uhhhgeeee" at all! And I wouldn't change the red -- you need a little bit of color and I think it works.
So is this a Smacky makeover or a new character? I can't believe you took those pics yourself from your reflection. You must not have used a flash, huh? But I'm still trying to figure out if you need to straighten out that picture on the wall behind you.

I am working towards a new character, and am in the process of trying to figure out who he is. I can see him there, or feel him anyway. I think I like the basic shape of the mouth as you see it there (except, you know, tidy) which was what I was intested in this morning.
