That is a friendly looking face. It will be nice to see it all put together with the costume.

WOW..... Thanks for all the compliments and feed back... I love you guys and gals.

Duckie... Thanks Sis... You're the best Sis that a redheaded step clown like me could ever wish for.... The funflip is indeed fun.

Bumbles... about those clothes... yeah I talked to a lady that I work with and she is going to do my bibpants/overalls for me... I'm getting measured tomorrow.

Coco... I learned the blue trick from Fitz... I've been dying to try it... I'm glad I always thought blue was a 'no-no'... Sometimes I'm glad that I don't follow those so called 'rules'.

Dr. Rainbow. Thank you for the compliment. I enjoied our clown chat aswell.

Bodiddly... I always thought that as the very blonde RD that I'd have more fun... but I'm really digging this shorter red look.

Tim... or is this Deborah sharing the makeup tip?? Hmm... I considered doing the black around my red lip... but thats something that I've already been doing as RD so I wanted to try something a bit different.... Like I said I'm still playing with the face... so I'll probably give it a try next time... Also keep in mind that It was like 11:00 at night when I applied the face and about 11:30 when the pic was taken.

Kwayzee.... Goodluck with your characters. I love your Auguste! It will be cool to see you as a whiteface aswell. Believe me I've been a "Bad Whiteface" Back in the Day... I tried to be a whiteface for my first VBS... I used the cheap stuff... and I had a face that could crack Mirrors and a multicolored wig that would be apporpriate for the event you'll be doing soon.... I was indeed a... wasn't your tern for it "Lipstick Clown."

After that VBS I completely changed faces to my Auguste look "Razzle-Dazzle" ... I'm glad that I finally dug up the courage to try the white face look again.

Smirky... It took me about 30 mins to apply the face. As for keeping it clean I've learned the importance of baby powder... Its cheap... and its worth it. POWDER between EVERY color before and After adding additonal colors and outlines.

Sir Toony... Thank you for saying that I look friendly... Thats what I was hoping to get... Overall I think Lewie Delightful will be more childish than RD.

Bookworm... Thanks for the comment kiddo!

You guys and gals are great... Keep those comments and that feedback coming!

Thanks Chance...

I was begining to think that I could never pull off a whiteface look... I'm glad that I reconsidered.

I do not outline my red on my white face. But I see what Tim is thinking. Your red could be sharper. Then he would not feel like it needed something else.

For me, I used Mehron RED. not the rbr that yours looks like. (is it?)
I put it on with a brush instead of a pencil, this creates a sharp line. Then I follow up my baby power with the mehron blush-red- ontop of the lip. It makes the red as red as it can be. I like the clean contrast look of a sharp red against a white.

That is all something that comes with time and practice. Your look is great. I know you will refine it even more over time.

I don't know that his mouth necessarily needs outlining. However, on a neat whiteface (which is essentially what this look is), it is typically common. A black marking around the red would also balance against the simple black eyebrows. But, mostly, what I am thinking is that, since he uses a red wig, the black outline might draw the lips more into focus and help them contrast a bit better with what is around the face. Which is why, if I were to make one simple suggestion, this is something which I would want to have a look at, minimally, to see whether it makes things any better than what already exists.

Have you ever considered a career in makeup for stage and screen? That face is so beautiful, it makes me want to cry. What are you planning to be when you grow up?
