[Wowza]: No, not really. The before pic is me with the ProKnows. The after will be me with the Howle that I ProKnowsified.
[Ty-Me]: kno haven't tried it just wondering if ssomething household would work
[Willace-the-Clown]: II had that up for a while cuz i go threw bad times
[Wowza]: Mr. D, there was nothing wrong with my ProKnows. I like the fit, just not the shape. I bought it as my first nose, before I knew better.
[Gladman]: I think it was Scruffy, not sure, that said a piece of that double sticky foam tape works in place of glue
[Pam-cakes]: the inside of my nose is crooked looking but it fights and doesn't look crooked on the outside(?),,,maybe its my real nose

[Mr. Dazzle]: I shaved the inside of my RD nose down a little more ... my Lewie nose fits perfectly.

[Mr. Dazzle]: I scraped it down carefully with a sharpe paring knife

[Mr. Dazzle]: I was just curious as to how many times one bundle of rope could be used
[Ty-Me]: Mr Dazzle i use the trick for a long time and its a great trick
[Sir Toony Van Dukes]: It looks like you can keep using the same rope until it gets too short. If it starts at 24 inches,and you cut 2 inches a time, I would guess four or five times.
[Sir Toony Van Dukes]: Unfortunately, I have to go! Unitl next time we meet...

[Fitzwilly]: One thing I do that would work for you. I went to the dollar store and picked up the cardboard cover for a scrapbook for $1. I punched some holes in colorful junk mail and pun inside insted if pictures.

[Pickles]: We had to bring the rabbit out at the end to show that we hadn't really squished him to death.

[Fitzwilly]: First of all Book, quit Jonesing. You will be suprised once you start. Things just have a way of coming together. You can think and think and drive yourself crazy and not get anywhere. But all of a sudden everything will just sort of fall into place.

[Jamz]: took the kid aside and explained it wasnt a real bird because I dont want to hurt any animal

[MrSillyandSerious]: are there any skits with 2 light bulbs and 2 two switches, where the switch lights the wrong bulb, maybe even 2 lamps?
[Mr. Dazzle]: I agree with Sassy... from the moment you paint or put on a nose... your a clown. you don't need all the gobelty goop and smoke and mirrors... just a smile and a sense of humor
[Mr. Dazzle]: sounds like you could do something like that with two magic lightbulbs Mr. Silly
[Jamz]: Fred has a god routine with one light bulb and a plug and socket

[Fitzwilly]: Now back to my "magic book" What makes it work is that I set it down on the table but I set it in a way that it falls off but I don't notice at first. After a delay I notice and set it down again as I am talking to the kids and it falls again. This time some of the kids are telling me that it fell.
[Sassy Frass]: Like Fitzwilly said you can worry your little heart out but when the time comes...the clown shines through and things come together...
[Fitzwilly]: MR.S&S there is at least one trick with 3 light bulbs and 3 switches but I don't remember any with just 2 at the mment.

[Fitzwilly]: That crazy magic book must fall 20 times during the show and the kids get more into it each time. Sometimes I will set it on the edge just far enough so it will stay and then I will turn around and knock it or I will sit something else on it and they will both fall.

[Fitzwilly]: RD - depending on your comfort level and your patter I would think that either Hippity Hop Rabbits or Mismade Flag might be your strongest trick, with the other tieing for second with the temple screens. So I would suggest putting your strongest trick at the end, your second close to the beginning and the third about dead center in your show.

[azzy]: yeah, I just upped my diskspace to around 1TB a couple weeks ago and it's still not enough.

[azzy]: I've got 250gb for my system drive, which stores downloads and other unimportant stuff. 300gb which stores kids movies and some other non-critical stuff. and two 250gb drives in a raid-1 array which keeps all my music, photos, home movies & documents. That's nearly full already :\
[Markie]: its only XP, i got an old copy free from someone (yes a full and legal copy from a broken computer....)
[Markie]: i backup almost every day with time machine
[Markie]: time machine makes it so easy to do backups
[azzy]: backup to an external device?

[Markie]: which allows plenty of room to keep old file revisions

[Markie]: okay so i have windows xp running in a window on here and windows update kept failing on me after installing SP3 and IE7

[Markie]: so i clicked the troubleshooter and the only thing it showed was what to do if you get some obscure error code i have never seen
[Markie]: so i figured that wouldnt help me
[Markie]: well after restarting the virtual machine and trying all else i could think of, i followed those directions that came up and they worked
[Markie]: but i never got the weird obscure code the directions said they were for...
[azzy]: hrm
[azzy]: I don't generally use windows update - just AutomaticUpdates. They show errors in the event viewer
[azzy]: at least you got it working

[Fitzwilly]: I like the idea of the 17" laptops in part because I usually have multiple screens open, but also because of the keypad on the side. I have not seriously looked into them at this point however.

[azzy]: I was typing on a huge 17" Dell yesterday, because your hands are off-centered I kept hitting the wrong keys

[Markie]: get an external number pad, a 13.3" macbook, and get used to using expose
[Markie]: (expose is a cool mac feature - hit F3 (you can change the key) and all the windows on your screen get shrunk and shown at once - just click the one u want

[Fitzwilly]: Basically I want a desk top machine that will travel with me. I don't want a dinky little machine unless I have multiple machines and the laptop is not my main one.
[azzy]: or get a 15" WUXGA+ PC and make sure you're not farsighted

[azzy]: they all wanted 17" laptops so they could have less clutter on their desks
[azzy]: but now they're all starting to get 13" laptops to travel with

[Markie]: and i do lots of graphics stuff and everything on it

[azzy]: my other problem with Macs is the culture of buying software. that's not as bad as it used to be, since there is more open source - but there are still tons of simple simple tools that are free on windows and someone expects you to pay $5 for on mac.

[azzy]: it's even like that on the iphone to a lesser extent. I

[Markie]: maybe if you're strictly talking Cocoa and Carbon apps
[Markie]: but there's tons and tons and tons of GPL and freeware X11 apps

[Markie]: most linux apps can easily be ported to Darwin-BSD and run in X11
