Default Seeking input for a Company Picnic Job

Hey All!
My wife an I have been asked to entertain at a company picnic which will be held outside. Approx. 300 people with children. We're looking for ideas to provide entertainment other than the Balloon or face painting genre's.

Inputs? Anyone?

In that setting people tend to want games. They don't need to be complicated, just presented with fun. There should be prizes for every one so there are not hurt feelings. If you make all your prizes the same or only a couple of choices it will make life easier for you.

Maybe a roll of Clown stickers to give out to everyone who enters. I think games are a great idea. Also, you could come up with a couple of funny silent skits (or if your throat can handle it a talking one!) Most importantly have fun and everyone else will too!

There are lot so suggestions in the walk around threads, look through those to give you ideas. At a couple of my Husbands company picnic they already have the games lined up, usually have a couple of bouncing set ups and the wall climbing thing. So walk arounds are more suited to his type of company picnics.

Tug of war is lots of fun, especially when you are the one who always loses ungracefully. Try pulling the rope between your legs with your back towards the other team.

Follow me, and do what I do is always a fun one.

Simon says, and you're the one who messes up, as the kids know you will.

Playing catch with an invisible ball. (It always seems to bonk you on the head or somewhere else)

Races running backwards, hopping , skipping three jumps per leg.

once you "hook" them, just about anything goes.

Setting up a bubble station is also an option. Crazy shaped bubble makers, one where the kids stand insude a giant bubble as it is being made....

Hey Fitzwilly, where can I get one of those giant bubble makers where the kid can stand inside? That sounds cool!

I'm sure somebody has them for sale but the ones I have seen were home, ah, I mean "custom" made. Basically one of those 12 tall by 4 or 5 foot in diameter wading pools with a small riser in the center for the child to stand on, small enough for a fabric covered hula hoop to fit aroound so it will lay in the bubble solution. A triangle with legs so that is stands about 5 or 6 feet above the riser, the three corners should be slightly larger than the wading pool so the legs are on the outside of the pool. If you can find a larger hula hoop, slightly larger than the triangle that would be great, if not in the plumbing department they have some stiff but flexible plastic hose that with an adapter will make a circle. Attach three thin ropes to the smaller hula hoop run them up over the top of the triangle (it helps to have eye bolts for the rope to run through) and connecting to the other (the larger) hula hoop. When the smaller hoop is in the bubble solution the larger hoop should be up in the air near the top. Place child on the riser and gently pull the larger hoop down which will raise the smaller hoop covered with bubble solution and it should make the large bubble that surrounds the child.

Helium Balloon scavanger hunt..

Stuff a small prize inside of a round and inflate with helium. Anchor the balloons and allow people to wade into the field of balloons to select their balloon. Pop for a prize (or have the gift in a bag attached to the balloon/curling ribbon)... Generally a good idea to have something in every balloon so nobody gets nothing...
