Default Christmas In July... well sortof...

Ok Guys and Gals. I've talked with several of you in clown chat about the topic of "Elf-ing" and "Christmas Clowning" when it comes Christmas Time...

I've "Elf-ed" things up in the past... and I've decided its time for "Frazzle the Elf" to get an Makeover... (and possibly a new Name.)

Here is a pic of me In Elf a couple of years ago.

When I came home from work Monday night I had a package laying on my desk. It came from New York and was labeled "From Coco"
Inside was a fancy schmancy slightly used (but freshly picked) flesh colored proknows nose that Coco had laying spare and collecting dust in her nose bowl. Thank You COCO!

Here is my new and improved Elf Character.

He still needs a little work and some finishing touches... but Over all I'm pretty satisfied with him...

I wore the same outfit this past Christmas while in "Clown" as RD ... but I didn't really feel like an Elf... I felt like a "Christmas Clown"... By losing the white around the eyes, changing out the nose, and by adding a bit more blush I'm starting to feel a bit more Elf-ish.

A friend of mine said that she would get me some elf ears at the next Renn Fest that she goes to. For now I'm ok with letting my hair hang down over my ears lol...

So how many of you other do "Christmas Characters"... I know Fitz, Pixcoco, and Duckie do Elves.... Who else??

What is it with Northerners that put sugar in cornbread?? Thats not cornbread! When you put sugar in cornbread it becomes CAKE!!!

Put the sugar in the tea! Thats where it belongs! I like my tea to be so sweet that I can pour it on my pancakes if I run out of syrup!

I do (or have done) a 12' Stilt Santa. Also a "light" version which was basically santa stilt pants and a santa hat.

I do a Scroogish Hobo character. Black suit w/ patches and a patched tophat (fingerless gloves, etc) - Christmas-y scarf.

I've given the stilts up so will do my Christmas tramp this year likely if I go "in clown."

I occassionally Christmas up my tux and do some magic instead.

OMG I have the same shoes. I wore them when I taught school. The kids thought I was from the magic school bus. Then they said I was santa's daughter. Cristy kringle was born.
I have so much fun with christmas.

So Pixcoco... How do I look in your nose??? Also Any Ideas for a name?? I kind of like using my real name and then tacking on "Christmas" to the end of it ... That would make me "Christopher Christmas" ... I use that as a screen name on a Christmas forum for christmas-display-enthusiasts

He's the head candy cane taste tester, a member of Santas Naughty or Nice Patrol, and a Member of the Elf Caroling Choir... cause "The best way to spread Christmas Cheer is singing loud for all to hear!"

With names I like to think of how difficult will it be for a 2 or 3 year old to say. You might even ask a child to say it.
Pix was a nick name of a good friend of mine in high school. He had an elf look about him which earned him the name. It was short for pixie of course.
Nick names seem to make good character names.

I like all of your jobs and designations. It will realy give you a good jumping off spot for telling stories. If you have patches or something with memberships stated on them it will give people questions to ask you.

I've wanted to do a 19th century Dickens style chimney sweep character since last Christmas. I created a background for him and planned on playing him as a story teller. He and Santa are great friends and the jolly old elf shared a small bit of his magic with him. I think I'll put some more effort into the show and try it this year. Being an elf looks like a lot of fun too. Where do you elves usually "elf it up"?

That depends on how much "elf esteem" you have.
