Okay, so I have to brag--

We've been trying to come up with ways to increase our business. We thought that some advertising on magnetic car signs might be ideal. We found Yard Signs, Signs, Magnetic Signs and can't even begin to sing their praises loud enough. Their site was simple to use and offered drag and drop design. We got six 12" x 24" signs for under $160, after shipping and tax. Our design was done on Sunday night. The signs came today, by ground UPS. Granted, the company is based in Austin, TX, and we live in Northern TX, but that turnaround time was still quick. But here's the best part...

Wow, Wowza, that is sweet. Just the other day I was wondering how a clown goes about getting something like that and what it costs. Very nice. I will probably have more questions for you later. Be sure to let us know how many gigs you get because of your new signage.

Thanks for the responses. I have to say, though, I thought this would have been a hotter topic with a little more interest. I know that we are just starting to really get our names out and to have a presence in our area, and figured these signs might be a way to help. And, I figured that other clowns would be interested in some free advertising while they drive or have their car parked.

Am I missing something? Is there a downside I haven't considered? Or is everyone just wiped from Moosecamp?

I had something like that when I was selling Pampered Chef and they were both stolen off of my car! Why anyone would want a 2 ft by 3 ft magnet with my name and phone number on it is beyond me.

I've got some magnetic signs I put on my car. I 'rarely' leave them on the side of the car when I go into a business though, unless I'm just in for a minute.

I think the best time to have them on there is when I'm on my way to clown somewhere. That's when people 'really' notice me, and if they're noticing me then they're hopefully noticing the signs.

My signs are pretty plain though I hope to get some fancy one's like Wowza's one of these days. I just have 6" X 24" signs outlined in red with my website in red as well.

Let me warn you though, make sure how well they stick to the side of your car before you go driving around town Haha! I bought my car used and apparently the passenger side door had been repaired with bond-o or something. One of my signs stuck just enough to make me think it was on there, only to end up in the road and run over. Thankfully, the sign guys made me another one for free.

I use VistaPrint.com for all of my promotion pieces. If you go to their site, they will give you so much FREE stuff you won't believe it. I've gotten free magnetic signs, free pens, free t-shirts, free business cards, free letterhead, free postcards, all kinds of stuff and all with my clown picture on them.

I can't recommend them highly enough. I go to their site at least twice a week to see what's new and to get ideas. Check it out. It can really help.
