One handed clown
I posted this under my introductions, but thought I'd seek help here. First, let me say I'm glad to be here! I've been clowning for about 6 years now. I have 3 characters: SassyFras, Giggles, and Talullah (but you can call me WOO HOO).
This weekend, I will be appearing at a family day event for the 267th Military Police Company. This is a big deal to the families because this is the last hurrah they will have before that unit is shipped to Iraq.
Normally at these events I do balloon twisting, face painting, etc. This isn't going to be possible for me this weekend due to broken fingers on my right hand (and I'm right handed).
Does anybody have any ideas I can borrow to entertain everyone so they aren't disappointed. I thought of something along the lines of temp tattoos possibly, but it won't really compare with what they are expecting. (it's a volunteer gig, but it's for our troops, so I want it to be great).
There is no "show" (and I couldn't do magic with these fingers anyway). All ideas are welcome.
Thanks for having me here!

You could always wow them with the one-handed dog! Hahahahaha! That's always a good one. You might make an obnoxiously bright sling/cast combo to draw attention to the fact that you only have the one hand. Pretty neat either way. Best of luck.

bright sling
That would be a good idea.. if I needed a sling. It's only two fingers. It doesn't impede my being there, just my twisting and I don't want to look like I'm trying to play up for sympathy, Make sense? Should I break an arm in the future (and trust me.. as clumsy as I am, it's bound to happen), you can bet I'll have a rainbow cast with a bike horn on it!!!

I LOVE that idea!!! As far as I know, there aren't any clowns in my town though. I think once my hand heals, it's time to teach my daughter to twist so I can get another hand!!

How about creative patter?
"Hey, can anyone give me a hand?"
"Oh, wait, I already have one!"
"Where'd the other one go? AHHHH! It's in a cast. I'm a castaway from a Rhonda A. Paws."

Sue,
You changed your look. I like it! and I absolutely love doing dances with the kids. I'm thinking that is what my appearance will be based on. Lots of music, dancing, bubbles, ribbons, etc.
(yes, I've lurked for awhile, so I have a slight advantage where it feels like I "know" you all)
