Ok ... I've been toying around with the idea of posting this for a while... part of me wanted to wait until Halloween because I know mine is rather scary...


If you have them, I want to see pictures of your first clown makeup/character attempts

I have a picture of mine... and I'll admit this was way before I had a clue wat I was doing, I didn't know much about makeup or how to set it ... so Beware!

YEARS AGO I created a clown character at the last minute for VBS ... I had most of the costume already since most of it was pulled from my closet ... except for the pants, they were a Goodwill find.

I didn't even have a name when I went to VBS. When I got there I was deemed "Squeaky T Gospel Clown" This was his first and only appearance and by the next summers VBS "RD" had been created after much research and a little more time and money put into the costume.

Here is the picture... I know it is scary... That looks like a clown that would eat small children for breakfast.

You have definitely improved. It's fun to look back and wonder ... "what was I thinking", isn't it? Anyway, you're awfully CUTE now and that's what counts. You've learned!

It's too bad my current make-up and costume (or in some cases, lack there of) IS my first attemp. I really don't even ahve a single finished costume yet. A picture now would look like selections from a costume magazine: someone modeling just one thing.

Nettie, other than the first picture which is a little fuzzy, they all look great!

Oh, Clowns. I told Dazzle I was going to make all of your first pics look like Ringling clowns compared with my first make-up job. But I just dug the photos out of an old scrapbook, and they're SO unbelievably hideous that I don't think I can share them with you. (You should have heard my husband and children howling with laughter when I showed them.)
