problems with the shoes

i am learning how to walk with my big shoes and i am having some problems with it. could anybody give me some direction on how to avoid pain on my foot after wearing the shoes?

At least 2 pairs of socks! You could also try pair of panty hose under you’re the clown socks. Also wear them around the house as much as possible to help speed up the break in period. Practice walking up and down stairs!

I have a pair of shoes that a fellow clown sold me at a great price and I found that there was no padding in the shoes. I used a pair of maccasins that I use while foring first-aid at pow wows and I found that it is more comfortable.

The maccasins are low enough to hide in the shoes and I love them it made the last parade that I used them in a breeze.

if your shoes hurt... you got a shoe issue... your shoes must not fit properly... shoes really shouldent weigh that much

I made my shoes out of 2 second hand pare of shoes. One perfectly fit pair and the other one way to big. Cut the sole out of the perfect fit one. gleud it in the bigger one and bought an insole. I can walk on it for hours without any footpains. When I started clowning I had these masive kind of slippers. They were really great but I totally worn them of

It seems that most of the suggestions for comfortable clown shoes on the internet call for two pairs of shoes. A pair that fits well, which you wear inside the larger pair of shoes and of course the larger shoes themselves.

Also, I've seen it suggested on a couple of sites and by Turk Pipkin that it adds some great clownish effect if you put the fitting shoes on the wrong feet before they go into the big shoes. So you have the fitting left shoe on the right foot and vice versa. Wont help in comfort but is supposedly really funny looking.

I wear over sized shoes myself. Red Converse that are several sizes too big. They are still extremely comfortable and funny looking.

shoes inside a shoe seems to be the best option, but keep a look out on Ebay, I got lucky and got a used pair that are custom made to my shoes size on the inside and I will never go back to shoes in a shoe, I forget I've got clown shoes on when walking, and I were a ladies 6-61/2. I would not give these up, even for brand new one unless they were my size, it makes that much difference to me.

One question no one has asked yet is what kind of shoes you have? Were they custom made? Are they off the shelf big leather clown shoes with an open toe? Are they monster sized tennis shoes?
If they are the open toe variety, then most, if not all the support for the shoes are in the ankles. You might try adding a dense foam in the toe area. This way your foot stays relatively straight in the shoe and helps to minimize some of the rubbing that causes blisters while adding some support. If they are true custom shoes by Spears, Clown-So-Port, or Wayne Scott then call the manufacturer because there is a problem with the shoe itself or your foot was not measured properly.
