Default Costume Ready - Need a New Name

Hello Everyone - I put my clown costume on for the first time - and did not want to take it off - Toronto Clown Alley is meeting next week and i am going to try out my costume and some silly songs - I have been told my name is not "clowny" and I should try something people will remember - any suggestions (I hope my picture shows up - if not, I will try to load it again).

Thank you

Cymbaline

Cymbalina - My older sister liked to sew and she was so small people called her Thimbalina. I like to play the drums, but I don't play really well so they usually just give me those big loud cymbals to bang together. So now they just call me Cymbalina.

If you could either find those small 5" cymbols like the small monkey uses, or the little finger cymbals like the belly dancers use.

It's different and nobody else will ever have it. I love Fitzwilly's suggestion with the tiny cymbals ... you could be a one-person band and go to town.

Nettie Belle is not clowny, but it seems to be known around the area ... and nobody else has that name, that I know of. Once you pick a name and it becomes associated with a great clown, it doesn't matter if it's clowny or not. YOU are the clown, not your name. I have a friend whose clown name is Maxine, another one named Shellie Belle ... they are not really clowny either, but the association with them IS.

I say stick with it and expand on it. And JUST HAVE FUN!!

I go by Dylan the Clown and my first name is Dylan and yet I have never been told Dylan isn't clowny enough. I figure that it is unique and as NettieBelle said once it is associated with a great clown then you are golden

The little cymbals are awesome - with a kazoo, cymbals, silly songs and a very cute puppet - I am ready to go. I am going to nursing homes next week to see if I can set up weekly visits - Wish me luck!
