Tip hat I need Info on Pro Noses

I have been painting my own nose in the past. A local store carries pro noses at 15.00 Ea. Is that the going rate or can I do better ordering from someone on line?

Sounds like a good price to me. I highly recommend you consider their Sticky stuff, double sided adhesive strips, for attaching the nose. It works wonderfully.

It's the going rate for a new nose, unless you go to a nose doctor. I think they tend to charge quite a bit more, but I don't recommend that ...

I use liquid latex for nosing. It's great if you're not allergic to latex. You can get it from www.mooseburger.com. A clown in her 23rd year of clowning told me that, and that's what I use.

This summer, I was almost out of it, though, so I tried to put my nose on with a couple of drops, because that's all I had, and the minute I walked into the party, my nose fell off. I told the kids that I really didn't want to be nosey that day. I had red under my nose, so it was no big deal. Plus, it was for my granddaughter, who thinks I'm the greatest and she didn't care. She started to laugh and got all the other kids laughing too. I ordered my new bottle of latex the next day.

If you do decide to go with that, it would do you best if you wait until you need a couple of other items from them, to compensate for the shipping cost. It doesn't cost much more for several items, and I certainly wouldn't want to pay $7.00 for one little $4.25 bottle of liquid latex.

Nettie, you can always call me at Fun F/X. We always have latex in stock since quite a few theatres use it on a regular basis.

Yup, that price is pretty reasonable. If you do find it cheaper online you'll still have shipping costs...so best go with the store you can walk into.

As far as adhesives go, I understand the Proknows tape is pretty good stuff, though I've never actually used it. I use the Proknows nose glue, which is applied the same way as liquid latex, but holds a lot better. (I think the Proknows glue also has latex in it)

I once had a nose mishap and had to use a costume brand liquid latex, but it didn't hold nearly as well.
