Default New Shoes, Now what?

Hello all,
I just wanted to pick your brains. I just recieved my new "clown" shoes. They are women's size 14, converse all-stars, and I have size 8 feet. I can walk in them, but I was wondering what the best way to stuff the toe would be? I was thinking old socks? Any ideas?

I am excited about the shoes, they're pink.

Miss Carrie D.

I use open cell foam. The thick green type; you can get it at Joann Fabrics or other craft stores. It's soft so it doesn't hurt your feat. It's open cell foam, so it breathes well. Easy to shape to your foot and shoe

Open cell foam? I will have to look into that, just because I am curious. I have shoes from Wayne Scott @ Clown Shoes and Props Dot Com. (www.clownshoesandprops.com)

I've had success with the foam in my shoes. I had scraps of it laying around (I use it for costuming - had just finished a copy of Kevin Kelm's robot suit).

Most Joanne Fabrics have it in large rolls - most of the time it's green, but it comes in a variety of colors sometimes. Various thickness also - I use 1-2" thickness, but they make bigger if you have bell toed shoes.

I have used pillow stuffing ... it works great.

My shoes work great with water shoes inside the Converse. I also use the right water shoe inside the left sneaker and visa versa.

I get a lot of comments about having my shoes on the wrong feet but I correct them saying that my feet are on the wrong legs so the shoes are on the right feet.

Steel. For when the drunks crash your balloon line.

Sreiously though, the foam sounds like the best idea.
