Fitzwilly: To answer your question re ClownsForHire, the answer is yes, that web site brings in 95% of my business, and I am a busy clown during season. I also do some direct marketing to day cares and non-profits (for fundraising gigs) which is productive. I am a marketing professional so I'm very careful about how I spend my advertising dollars and I track the results. My way is not for everyone, but it sure works for me! Thanks for asking. You have an inquiring mind.

My 2 cents:
Green for the pants with cuffs of the small plaid.
Large plaid for vest
Small plaid for bowtie.

If you are unsure what I mean by cuffs check out Fitzwilly's homepage. I helped him design his blue pants with cuffs. Those pants are simply nylon exercise pants with the bottoms of the pant legs cut off and replaced by a cuff. You can't get any easier than that.

Can't wait to see what you come up with! Do you have someone to sew this for you or are you doing it yourself?

Miss D.

Me?Sewing a costume?

No, no , no ,no.I don't know a thing about it!

I went to three sewers in my town with a couple of pictures of costumes.
They were too expensive for me and also I couldn't trust them.I think that my costume won't be unique and probably will sew the same for another clown. Why pay money to get clothes that another clown will wear too?

So, I went to my partner's aunt that is a sewer and told me that she could sew the costume for me.

She is used to do "normal" clothes in a factory and she told me that's there is no difference for her.

We 'll see.Hope everything goes well.

The next step is to find a pair of shoes from a European online store. That's the hard part.

I think i ll make it.

I appreciate your help.

I never would have realized that those were just jogging pants. What a great idea.

Giggles, I like the idea of sewing pigtails into the bucket hats. I am very hot natured and have been wondering how I would manage the wigs. Also my costume would need to be "naturally air conditioned" so the cotton and poly cotton would be my best bet!

Hey Giggles,
Great idea Pattycake has been looking for something like that for parades in the summer and I could take a half bald wig and cut the hair part out and sew it in my hat also.
