Funny, Carrie ... I just read that too. I might go check out the patterns if I have 99 cents left over from Wal-Mart ... our Wal-Mart is ELIMINATING THEIR FABRIC (BIG mistake) and it will be on sale for 50% off. I told my husband that I was going to buy all of it that I liked. He responded with a frown and a question mark look and said, "you're going to buy ALL of it that you LIKE????? Well, where are you going to put it?" I wasn't really sure how to tell him that I was going to move HIS clothes out to the garage to give me more space to store my fabric stash, so I just decided I would surprise him, what do you think???
Anyway, back to your original posting ... that is an excellent deal on patterns and a good time to stock up.

Woohoo! Thanks Carrie. I just rec'd my HL ad in the email and noticed it. Time to stock up again. I have so many patterns I don't know when I'll make them all but I can't stand to pay full price for a pattern I may want to use someday.
Something I like to do before going to buy them is peruse the online catalog at www.simplicity.com and write down the pattern numbers I want. It saves me time when I get to the store, especially if all the pattern catalogs are being used and I would have to wait. Why spend all that time in the store looking at catalogs when I can be fabric shopping

Nettie Belle,
Unfortunately my local Wal-mart never had fabric to begin with ;( I might have to drive to a neighboring town to check it out!
BTW, I don't think your husband would appreciate you moving his clothes to the garage, you might have to stock up on totes too!
Miss D.

Our walmart is eliminating the fabric section too... which is a shame because I know all of the ladies that work in crafts and one of my favorite things to do in walmart is stand at the fabric table and gab.

Ooh I'm so excited, I can't sleep. Tomorrow is the big sale at Wal-Mart. All their fabric will be 50% off. I plan to buy double of what I want so I will get 100%.

I'm jealous! I love a good sale on fabric. Well, actually I just love a good sale. I just picked up a couple of Simplicity patterns yesterday from Hobby Lobby and am anxious to get some fabric to make a new costume now. January and February would be a good time to sew since clowning is a bit slow for our volunteer organization. My day job tends to get in the way of having fun clowning and sewing but it does pay the bills.

I have the same problem. My day job is changing too. My present job is ending because my department is being regionalized, and I will be changing to something I've never done before!
Blossom, in another thread, you asked me about the sleeves on my yellow, pink and blue dress ... they are separate. The bottoms come off. Sorry I didn't respond sooner.
Well, only 8 more hours till the big sale. Actually, now it's 7 hours and 53 minutes! I wonder if calling off for a sale is good ... I could just go in late maybe.
