Default Quick Fix

you guys and gals might remember my "Hat Disaster" thread...

well until I find (or make) a hat that suits me ... I figured out a quick fix for my squashed hat...

(Since this was just a practice attempt I used a black balloon to make the base of the "hat" ... the top picture shows a 260 flower and the bottom one shows a 360 ...

(The girl at the costume shop sold me the 360's and I didn't realize they were 360's until I got home because the bag was the exact same as the other bags of 260's that I have purchased from them.... However I kept the 360's because I figured I could use them for special balloons and such... I have more 260's on order.

Thanks Tim... I don't know why I didn't think of doing that before now... I'll definately use either a green or some other brighter colors when I wear it in character...

There are a number of things you can do with a 350. Those baby's are fun.

Are you getting the traditional assortment or the carnival assortment? I would recommend the carnival because the colors are brighter, since they are opaque. The only color missing from the carnival bag is white and if you use that a bunch you can occasionally get a seperate bag.

what all can you do with the 350's? I'm used to using the 260's.

I had to go look at my bags... The bags that I have used so far have been the traditional assortments.. but next time I order I'll ask for the Carnival assortment.

Ones I really need a lot of are Green... since I tend to make a lot of flowers... How do you go about ordering single color bags?

Tip hat

My local Clown Supply Store (no fooling!) has shelves and shelves of balloons of every color; you need to search for the assortments. The only problem I had was that the first assortment bag I found was 160's. Your supplier ought to be able to order single-color bags, if you ask really, really nice. I know anybody on the internet would carry them.

Wow... I'm envious of your clown supply store... I get my balloons and makeup from a local costume shop. A girl that was running the shop sold me the 360's (by mistake and didn't realize it until I had already opened them) ... I called the lady that owns the store and told her about the situation and I asked her if she could order several more assortments of 260's. She's even willing to cut me a deal on the cost if I keep coming back to her as my supplier.

Come on out and visit sometime. You'll see what a clown shop can be. Mind you, they have next to nothing in the way of magic, and nobody there can demonstrate what it is they do have... but boy, do they have balloons and props!

Very Clever, Razzle Dazzle. I think you've got a winner there.
